keep your fan on. the whole reason of the fan is to strengthen the stalk and depending on how many lights you have it can be weak till the plant gets older

it doesnt have to be oscillating. when i had my grow on inside i had the fan on 24/7 and had a good breeze going. the bigger and stronger they got the more direct fan they got. then about every 4 or 5 days i would move the fan or spin the buckets so they get it from a different direction to help keep the stem uniform

you can shut if off. but you have to have enough lights on it during the day so it gets its strength from the lights. someone who has an hps can probably shut their fans off with the lights as the plants are strong from the lights. if your using cfls and dont have enough of them it will eventually get top heavy either after a month and a half old or during flowering

It would be especially prudent to have constant air flow during late flower (for sure if you live where humidity is excessive) as this will help prevent pest fungal infections like PM and bud rot. You should seriously have good air flow 24/7 when the air is saturated and you've got big, dense buds.
