Does anybody use 600 watt hps in a 3x3?

no
You would have to have your tent inside a walk-in cooler
Yea I already researched it a while back and knew it'd be too hot to handle. Was hoping someone would say otherwise lol. It kills me seeing this light not growing weed. I just don't have the ceiling height for it unfortunately.

Soooo I can use this Gavita 1000w DE HPS that's on loan from a friend in my 4x4?
Depending on where you are growing, intake fan size and extract fan size
I live in the UK and its the coldest part of the year 2-8c most nights 9 pm -9 am, If I was running a 6" intake fan directly from outside and the hot air was going directly outsize, you would be able to keep the room/canopy around 25c without any trouble.
my old flower room was 70cm x 2m with 2 x 600w HPS and the temps stayed under 30c

I run a 6 in a 3x3 vented hood 4” exhaust with an adj ballast. Normally adjust heat by air flow B917FE60-A924-410E-9EF4-D0A7C5B5A876.jpeg

Fellas he is talking about a 1k double end gavita
No vented hoods cause the ballast is attached to the fixture
Happy new year and yes if he had a 600 and vented hood lying around he could do it

Last winter, I was flowering under 2 x medium Adjust-A-Wings reflectors, 2 x 600w HPS, 16"oscillating fan moving the air between the hood and the Canopy, 6" fan, 8" filter in a well-insulated shed, flower room 2m long, 75cm wide and 2m high,
Cold air pulled in one end and the hot air out the other ends, the air never had time to warm up with temps outside the shed being 5/6c
If VAhomegrown has 8ft ceilings, direct air from outside(winter) keeps the plants under 3ft I can see any problems with this setup.

Thanks for all of the opinions. If you didn't see my post on page 2 i fixed the problem without using the hps

Honestly your QBs will heat that tent. Just put your exhaust fan on a thermostat. Like a inkbird.

let’s your tewarm up then it cycle on the thermostat.
You don’t need the fan on all the time as long as your humidity doesn’t go crazy.

Depending on the ambient temp in the house My fan cycles anywhere from 5-6x a hr to running pretty much constantly. Keep my temps bang on.
Such a simple and cheap solution that I can’t believe took me a year or two of growing before I did that.

I also got a cheap “weather station” withremote sensors in each tent. So I can have the screen up stairs and see the current temp/RH as well as highs/lows.
