Does anybody use fire sprinklers?

I'm going to be purchasing my buddies trailer in the future and want to strictly grow in it. I will be about 20 or so minutes away from the location and I'm just wanting to do this absolutely safe. First time indoor grower (well soon to be) and I'm wanting to go all out with it while I have the flow but also dont want to get in trouble yanno . My concern is if I were to use the gorilla grow tents and these new lights (the quantum lights) would you think there would be any risk that the fire sprinklers would prematurely go off? I watched a video where a guy tested it and it went off just from a lighter held there for a second.

a very upmarket trailer indeed for having ott fire protection

tho I use rec that you install a fire alarm even a temp gauge and fan

excess heat will slow even stall growth

just don't allow it to get too hot

good luck

Get your HVAC skills in order, that is the number one task you have right now. A security system is well and good, design your space so you never need it, then get it anyway. Learn how to filter and vent that thing to keep it cool and odor free, and quiet, especially if people can roll right up on it. Sounds like a sketchy location to me.

For the 5x5 I was going to go with a 550 cfm phresh filter and much larger for the flowering tent which I'm undecided on size atm. I'm getting cameras, wifi smoke detector, wifi thermometer and idk whatever else I can do I'm going 100% safe about this hence the fire sprinkler just worried if it went off prematurely due excessive heat escaping the tent I am going with gorilla grow tents trying to get the best for this advice is appreciated though I've done months of research (not even kidding) but I have no first hand experience.

Hi Mr Jones,
I read your thread yesterday and this morning an idea regarding your grow popped into my head...so here I am posting it.

The idea was to make the place look as lived in as possible. Several timers switching lights on and off to make it appear someone is home. Maybe even pick up an old sedan to park in the parking space. That sort of thing.

I purchased an old mobile home...12'x55' with the intent to grow. But I was going to live there too. Made the back half into grow space. Grew there for 3 years. It's all doable...but I would be worried about security. If someone breaks in they'll not only take your plants but probably all the equipment too.

Yea I need to figure out a car situation I thought the same thing make it look lived in and lights thing is a good idea I could prolly get those wifi lights and flick them on and off from my real home and the break in could definitely be a problem but I will have a security system to inform and now that you got me thinking I'll prolly have to lock down the windows and add a sturdy door. Cant wait tho

I NEED to purchase one of these ASAP! (It will only go off if there is a real fire, as it has a Temperature Gauge which turns it on.)
Don't buy that one, it's a BC powder, not ABC. It says its baking powder based, not ammonium phosphate ABC. This will burn your house down , not save it. Spraying BC powder on a Class A fire just makes it angry!

Secondly, it has a electric solenoid attached to a thermostat for activation, not a zinc-tin fusible link that melts and releases. Too complicated, get a mechanical heat activated fusible link bottle with a pressure switch to turn off power.

Third, it goes off at 135 deg.f , you want 165 deg.f, at least 50 higher than max ambient temp for normal operation,
135 f is for living room temp operation, not grow room.

Mount any auto fire bottle above a plastic tent not in it, or it will blow flaming tent everywhere when it discharges.

No way that covers "16x16" area either, a 4x4 stovetop at best . a 16 ft cleanup area is what they mean by "covers", lol.
These have been made before and discontinued because the 9v battery goes dead without constant supervision. This guy selling it got funding on Shark Tank, "as seen on TV". for gods sake..good luck suing them for your house.

You can build a better one cheap with 2 springs ,steel cable and a 165 deg. fusible link rated for at least 40 lb of weight

  • Mount bottle to wall.
  • Stick hose in tent/room
  • mount springs on upper handle, one goes down to pull release handle, one goes up with steel cable and fusible link to remote location to counteract pull, use secured pulley if needed
  • remove safety pin,and if spring pull pressure is equal, you can slide pin easily in and out.
  • when link melts, the the upper spring and fusible link releases line tension and lower spring pulls handle and discharges extinguisher. Crude but effective and super cheap, you can install multiple links on the line, also.

Everyone in a trailer park knows what is going on at the neighbor's place. Would not attempt unless someone was on location. Kids will know in a week no one lives there.
And as far as trailer park goes it's a lot of older folk living by the lake. (Dont judge me ) I make my funds pushing as it is but I'm 27 ive been doing it since I was 19 it's always worked for me (why stop a good thing) and I'm tired of making everyone else a bunch of money I want to settle down set some cash back yanno get it while the goings good. But anyways point was I figure a perpetual grow is going to be a lot of work and its not something that's just gonna be set and left it's going to be full time as much work as I can put into it so I figure a lot of long nights and days there shit might just end up moving in part time . My goal is to go all in with 10k start my top of the line setup and go from there, hoping some good guys or gals can help me out along the journey.
