Cant see it in the original picture.All i saw was you saying it was your 3rd and last DWC.Figured you was having issues with the setup and was over it.I apologize.I can see the return lines.

900gph syncra silent pump
4 inch diffuser in each bucket.

My system can hold anywhere up to 30 ish

I made it this way on purpose

Do you always have your water level set at that depth?Im working on a design now to get rid of airstones all together but the problem is when the root mass gets large you wont have any surface area to waterfall onto.I have seen other peoples designs but trying to figure out how to waterfall in a bucket cramped with roots is a challenge.MAybe a baffle to keep the roots over to one side and the waterfall spraying downward.Im still working on it.

This is where we as readers need to READ

I SAID ive been areo, nft ,dwc., .....ive had my feet wet for over 10 years in hydro

And this is my 3rd RDWC and probably last cause there are easier ways to grow.

Which i will be testing after this run is done.

I bet getting them shut off valves set right was a pain the ass to keep 1 bucket from over filling.I made a similar setup with totes for starting young plants.It was hard getting the shut off valves set right cause 1 bucket in the loop would slowly fill faster than the rest.I see you got it though.I remember you now from the rute pruning thread i think.Your right about that.Clones dont have tap roots and always root out like crazy.Same when a tap root breaks off by accident on a seedling.Ive let them go and will get a better root system.Thats a whole nother subject.

Yes on this run cause i want to see if its better to have a bigger air gap

but i can take it all the way to the tees

Thats why i have a 900gph pump i dont need stones but i have them xause im running

I saw from everyone elses design

2 return pipes. This means more uni seals more leaks more holes ect ect.

I wanted a SIMPLE and EFFICIENT design that i didnt need a 50 gal res to run.

My sytem probably flows with the BEST.
(For homemade)

Root mass and getting dissolved oxygen through the mass are the challenges.

Well see when the run is done :)

My manifold equalizes the water before it falls from the tees.
The secret is in the manifold :)
The ball valves are just back up and they look cool ;)

Then through the miracle of water displacment

If you have x amount of water falling through each bucket at x rate it gets sucked through very evenly with.no dead spots.
 
No offense but nothing flows better than 2 inch pipe through the buckets.No unis just bulkheads.No root clogs and PH will stabilize in about 6 minutes.Only downside is having to have airstones.Anyway ill stop shitting on your thread.Heres a 12 bucket i built for sexing plants.weed out the males and let the females keep rolling.0 leaks

And with the falls near the back of the bucket

and running a low water level allows for more force when the fluming (which is aerating)

Water hits the bucket water (also surface disruption)

then i got the stones pushing shit up and away but it gets sucked back down by the pump.

My system just ran for 4 weeks with no change and i didnt even look at my ph cause the plants where ok.

It was a stability test.
My system is very stable .

Plus im running bio stimulants and have warm temps of 72 water. With no signs of anything

I am using 2inch pipe for my RETURNS

My first design utilized mechanical bulk heads
Way to much BULLSHIT

Uni seals where way easier FOR ME
 
Just so everyone knows its not like im saying nr ever said these plants are prize winners.

These were monster crop cause i was being a retard so to save the strain i monster cropped them

Thats why they are slow for 1 month in the system..

Trust me i have grown nicer lol :)
