Am I correct in saying:
1. LEDs with colored light are UV lights and harmful to the eye but kill bad organisms?
2. White light, like the COBs are not harmful for eyes?
I have not seen an LED that outputs UVB with a peak in the range of 310-312nm. If you don't get this range, you are wasting your money.
UVB will not pass through plastic and standard glass. Glass needs to be quartz or gao ping.
UVB will give a suntan or sunburn. Just like in bright sun, you should wear sunglasses with UV protection. This is the only type of UV that will give a measurable increase in THC.
You need UVC to kill bad organisms. It is harmful to the eyes.
You can have all kinds of colored light... most are not harmful. Best not to stare at any colored light because it is likely brighter than humans can perceive. Wear sun glasses.
