Does flowering early affect the potency of the bud or just the yield?

Hello everyone,
I switched my single jack herer plant to flowering yesterday, it had been exactly 32 days since i planted the seed. my plant was about a foot high and showed no signs of maturity. I know switching to flowering early can affect yield, but i read somewhere today that it can also affect potency? is this true? also will switching to flowering after only a month of veg have any other effects on my plant? i just dont have room for a 5 ft high sativa..

it won't affect potency, if it gets too tall you can tie it down or top it too you know.
Yeah i realize that but another thing is i just dont have the patience, i have heard sativas can take up to three months to show signs of maturity, i just dont have the patience for that.

maybe some equatorial landrace strains but not a hybrid. I've had them show preflowers at 5 weeks.

so will that one to two weeks of extra veg really have that much of an affect on the final yield?
WEll hell nseedy, think bout it a minute, how many nodes were present at 3 weeks? how many @ 4? , and how many would there be at 7 ?? I'd have to say unequivicably. If its yield your after either veg longer or grow more plants SOG style. Just my opinion and Lord knows lots better sources than I but I did think I'd put my 2 cents in lol:blsmoke:
