hi this is my second grow i cut first one to early so wasn't as good as it could be.dont want to make the mistake again thanks in advance for the helpResized_20201206_190148.jpeg

Looks beautiful...what type of high are you looking for? Most optimal is mostly cloudy, with the odd amber.
Go deeper into amber trichs, and you will be approaching a more sedative-type high, or couchlock.

ok thanks for the reply ill post better pics in another week if i start seeing amber.
Watch close..it can happen quickly when you are in the harvest window...be sure to look over as many buds as you can...not sugar leaves but actual bud material/calyx. These will give you the best sense of plant ripeness.
Peace.

ok i started looking when all the hairs turned red but not seeing any amber on the buds. see a couple hear and there on the leaves.

im still not seeing amber but im not seeing anymore white hairs either the strain is called hot mess by twenty20 but does it look finished to any veteran growers? thanks

Looks great...check the trichomes on the calyx, and buds all over, not just your top colas and most definitely NOT THE SUGAR LEAVES sorry for the bold, but it is important, many new growers make that mistake.

thats what i shoot for or 80/20 brown/whie. i sacrifice some quality and there may be longer flowering methods, but thats what i was taught some 30 odd years ago

ok thanks for the help ill let it go a little longer for a few amber ones then. its in the 10th week after the 12/12 switch
You always take a small bud, quick dry over 24 hrs or so, and test it.
It will taste and smell nowhere near the final product( hopefully!) but will give you a sense of where the high is.
