the strain is called hot mess from twenty20 genetics it said 7-8 week flower but i know those are just estimated times

Many breeders do not count flower from lighting flip to 12/12...they will wait until there are actual small buds just starting to gather.
This is usually ten days to two weeks, can be longer with sativas, hence the extended flower time for most.
