Does it make a difference in flowering

Say your veg cycle is 18 6 and lights are OFF from 1 am to 7 am.

Would it be stress on your plants whether you make it 12 12 by doing dark from 1 am to 1pm or 7pm to 7 am.

If you get what I mean

Also, when you put in the soft lights, can you stick them in a few hours before or exactly before 12 12 starts

My only reason for these is hermies

hey :) When u switch light cycles the time that ur lights come on shouldnt change. If it come on at 1 A.M. in veg then it should come on at 1 A.M. durinf flowering as well. Dont b afraid though. If you need to change it go ahead. Always avoid stressing plants if possible. People always act liek if u strees ur plant the least bit its all screwed from there but thats not true. Marijuana is a very strong plant and can handle a lot. Always avoid stress but never stress ur self if u need to change something. As for ur second question. wat r u calling soft lights?

I have always slowly backed down my off time. I just cut it back a little every day for several days. Some say its a waste of time and to just switch it over. But if you watch the daylight times throughout the seasons (most real gardeners do) then you will notice the hours of actual light increases and decreases over a months time. This falls on the theory to keep your indoor grow as close to mother nature as possible. And another myth are light leaks. Too much of coarse can throw off your plants but red light flashing or light coming under the door wont hurt anyhting. Some say your room has to be completely dark, BS my opinion guys.
