Does LOLLIPOPPING increase yield???

Whenever the topic of cutting or pruning limbs/leaves comes up, an argument usually starts...

But in some growing situations (like SoG or SCRoG), it is a common (and a mostly accepted) practice to remove lower growth that isn't receiving much light through a thick canopy. In other situations or growing styles, any possible benefit to removing healthy growth is questionable to most people.

I think it is largely swings and roundabouts as welshy says. Certainly in some instances it is not going to be the way to go, for example if you grow the plant small, unless it's genetically disposed to grow a cola like a football which few are, then you'll want every branch there is. At the same time, lollipopping would allow more plants in less space, but i feel it is all just tradeoffs.

Your avatar fucking rocks...to the OP~ your going to get both yes and no, I'd suggest doing a side by side, it sucks it'll take you a harvest to know the answer, but you'll have it from then on without having to take someone else's word for it...

†LHFAO@your sig† I remember that...funny shit, funny shit...better then comedy central, I wonder what new name that fuck has/will come up with the next time he returns...

Just remember, having a 1 cola plant is not just about growing more or less on that one nice big fat cola, it is about the ability to grow mroe plants in the same space. Kinda why seedbanks give off the plant yield estimates as 400g/m squared etc rather than 2 ounces per plant.

it will not increase ur yeild.. it will increase ur yeild of good bud... instead of haveing bum fluff at the bottom of ur plant, that wieght will go to the top..
