does it make a difference? longer veg means longer flower? it says on thseeds that the sage plant has a flower time of 70-77 days is that no matter what? or is that determined on the basic 4 week veg most of these people are expecting us to grow?
ive had a ten week veg on this plant and im 16 days in flower, do i still expect a 70-77 day flower?

You start counting when you make the switch from vegetation photoperiods to the 12/12 period(when dealing with sexually mature plants). So, your plant needs to go probably a minimum of 10 weeks of 12/12 lighting.

haha thats obvious, and your basically saying that yes even though i ran 24/0 for 10 weeks that i still have a 77 day 12/12 period(10 weeks in your opinion)
i dont think you understood the question

as long as the plant is mature, vegging time shouldnt have an effect on flowering time. All thing being equal, a 10 week strain/pheno should take 10 weeks to finish whether it's from clone or from a 30" plant

As a point, one can grow a marijuana plant in vegetation basically for perpetuity. It is an annual, not a perennial, as it relies on light/dark cycles to force flower and then seed production. However, by maintaining an 18/6 light cycle one can keep a mother plant vegetating and yielding clones forever. People do it all the time.

However, once the plant has been introduced to 12/12 for sufficient time to induce flowering (not just indicate in 5 days or so but 2 weeks of 12/12 to bud) the timer is ticking. Changing it back to 18/6 at that point is dangerous with increased risk of hermaphrodites developing.

Hey buddy you must be growing in 55 gallons barrels ! Your flowering time should be the same, only difference with monster plants like that you will be able to cut some 2X4 out of the stem
