ok do scrog increase yields or what i have 4 mandala 8 mile highs going in 2 gallon pots that are 9 inches tall by 9in across on the top my grow room is 3x2 so how would i get that in there running 430w hps and how high should i have the screen above the pots i only have like a little more the 3ft vertical grow space.

please put down any ideas and etc. my chicken wire has 1"holes and its 2x25 ft.

oh and i have my hps about 16in above the seedlings.

I don't think a scrog has any effect on the increase of yields. SCROG was designed for grow areas limited in height and lit by fluorescent lighting. I'm sure you can get increased yields with optimum conditions, but the scrog on it's own increasing yield, No.

As for those strains, aren't they going to get a little too tall for that grow space?

Hope all works out great.

Yea I agree with lowryder. It's really more about maximizing yield per plant, but I don't necessarily think it will increase the yield per area or watt. Hope that makes sense. If you can plant 8 plants and flower them that's the way I'd go. Gives you some more options in the way of problems arising. I'd rather lose a couple little plants than my whole harvest.

so dont scrog? and just super crop? is that what your saying? my other plant is 2x2 in that space and that above the pot and it give me about 5-6 inches from the light. i just want to be able to use my 430w light on all 4 of them. and mandala is sutable for indoor and that height. they can get up to 6ft. im trying to keep everything at about 2ft tall maybe a little taller but is that light enough for it or what?

Light is fine, Scrog is fine, normally it is done with clones though. Scrog will just keep them growing nice and even in height and long as you train them.

sry to hijack thread but can u scrog on the switch of 12/12 ? and i mean mean weaving up and down not just putting the colas thru a hole

im just going to do super cropping and veg for 1 month and use all organic so i dont have to flush. but anyways of increasing yields? 430w super agro hps 53k lumens 30% blue spectrum is what im using from start - fin and for flower booster im using vita bloom 0-54-32 and then bio bloom 1-2-2 for veg im using 8-4-4 and molasses from start-fin with every feed and flush you can say. any ideas of yield increase?

you said you have only 3 feet and 430w hps. So a 2 gallon pot is about 10 inches high, right. your light is about 8 inches high, right. you need the bulb about 8-12 inches from you canopy, right. Let's see. 10+8+8-12= 26-30 inches. That means your screen has be almost on top of your plants in order to fit them into a 3' area. you have to figure that the colas are going to grow at least those extra 6 inches. I think it will be tight.

I'm worried about how much room i'm going to have and my lowest point is over 6 feet.

If you're running lower wattage like <400 watts, scrog may be a good option as it keeps plants low and allows a weaker light to penetrate. SCROG in all likelihood hurts yields when time is factored in due to training during veg.

thats how big i made the space its actually 20Lx15Hx6D my total vert space is just over 30" with out raising my light.i hate dealing with that . so i raise my pots up and down pots are exactly 9"x9"

sorry no pics as i am new to the site and for some fucking reason cant get them uploaded.....ive even resized and changed format and still no luck...sorry.....growing non-topped multi headed white widow and white rhino in a 400w 4x4 tent....prefer lst over scrog....same concept tho but the scrog keeps some fan leaves lowand out of the way...."keep em lo and watch em grow"

Scrog doesn't necessarily require more veg time. I run clones straight to 12/12 upon transplant and use homemade wire clips to form a LST scrog that sits about 4" above the base of the plants. I run about 2 plants / sq ft. It keeps the height under control and allows me to maximize my space and wattage.
