Does switching from24/0 to12/12 effect growth to stunt plants?

Okay my question here is I want to know if plants get stunted for awhile when you switch from 24/0 straight 12/12 also when do you consider plant actually in its flowering stage right when your force it? Or is it realy day 1 in flowering right when you see the first pistils blooming?

Pistol blooming for the most part. Yes it normally stunts with suddenly changing the time. Slowly receding the time like nature does minimizes this.

So how long does this stunt last for if I just changed suddenly like a estimate and my plants barely started pistil growth about a week ago so it's 1 week in to flowering?

imo, throwing them into flower won't stunt them, but will have the opposite effect on them really.. usually when i put plants into flower, the first 2 weeks or so of flowering the plants go through a stretch phase, where they will more then likely double in size, or more, depending on the strain, from the size that they were when you started flowering..
as far as when to start counting flowering, i have always been told to start the day you go to 12 / 12.. but saying this, my flowering time usually comes up about 2 weeks or so short of what the breeders say it should take for the plants to finish easily.. not sure if the breeders lie about the flowering times to make it seem as if they flower faster to sell more beans or if they tend to start counting days till they see pistils..
i have asked a few breeders when to start counting flowering and most of them will say at the flip, yet the times are always off, so i take it with a grain of salt..
also, the flowering times that breeders give tend to be a best circumstance kind of thing.. meaning that if you get the fastest flowering pheno out of the bunch, and everything goes to plan, then the times they give maybe correct, but if you get say a more sativa leaning pheno, the times could be way off by weeks and weeks..

Okay but most breeders and growers switch too 12/12 at the first sign of pistil blooming so that why the say at the flip maybe?

Six one way half a dozen the other. Most grows I have found on this website show that it really depends on the strain. But for the most part I hear ppl saying after the switch to 12/12 it takes a week for growth to explode. That being said my grows have been outside this is my first indoor. With all of my outdoor grows I don't have that week of now new growth.

Aha then there liers haha jk but yeah I was counting my plants as 4 week flowering then I just thought too my self these plants got too be too small haha cause I forced flowered after 2 week veg for 4 weeks barely seen pistols about a week ago so I'm barely in my first week of flowering which is good but lame at the same time haha I want my product now

Well for the first few days after switching to flower you won't see a whole lot going on, but you might see 4 pistils one day and then 32 the next...and it goes from there just growing like crazy...just gotta wait it out...if you have given your plants too much nitrogen during veg their growth in flower will be stunted, and you also might get drooping or curled, or some yellowed leaves...but other wise it should take just a little bit for the plant to really get started.

Well if you go from what the nutrient companies say, it has a 2 week adjustment phase. but I've noticed within a week they tend to be forming flower clusters but I use 16/8 not 24/0. I only 24/0 seedlings and clones.

Oh, and the older a plant is before you flower it the quicker I see them start flowering...A lot of my veg plants are clones of the strains in flower...because I take a clone and flower the main plant...veg the clone and repeat...so most of my plants while small are actually very old, most already are showing sex for weeks before flowering, and it is always a very short transition...I guess because again the plants are pretty old...
