I'm about to harvest and the smell is at its worst its ever been. Will the smell get even stronger when I begin to cut and dry it?

Also, just out of curiosity, I've noticed it only smells when I have the lights on. When they are off, I cant smell anything. Is this the same for others?

i dry in my grow room with my extractor and carbon scrubber on and to be honest i dont notice much of a smell, personally i think the last week of flowering is when its strongest but thats just imo. although what i will say is that when ur growing you start to lose a bit of ur sense of smell, you mite think its not strong but then u walk into a bar or a shop half an hour after uv been in ur grow room and every fucker starts giving u strange looks!! i harvest in an old pair of shorts and then jump straight into the shower afterwards and even that only removes some of the smell

The strongest odor for me was durring trimming. Stunk up my whole house for a couple days and I was trimming in the basement.

I know right! I'm like, "it doesn't even smell!"
Then I go out to the store, come back and I'm like "DAMN!"

Yeah, I noticed it's stronger when trimming than the actual drying process.
I love the smell of trimming buds! ;)

haha, same here. I constantly find myself leaving the grow room for some fresh air... then going back to the grow room to evaluate the smell.

Has anyone else noticed its less smelly when lights are off?

what will happen is they will lose their smell as they dry/cure and its replaced with the smell of escaping chlorophyl, most compare the smell to wet hay. After some curing that smell will also disappear and then you'll start getting the smell we all love back.

It always gets very stinky for me right after lights out for a little bit, whole house reeks.
