Sesame & Fish Oil Disease & Insect Control Organocide is an insecticide for eggs, larvae and nymphs of insects as well as the adults of soft-bodied insects. Controls a wide range of insects including, but not limited to, mealybugs, spider mites, aphids, leaf-rollers, whiteflies, fungus gnats, thrips and some armored and soft scale insects. It also controls certain fungal diseases like powdery mildew, black spot, and citrus greasy spot. Labeled for most vegetables, fruits, vines, herbs, ornamentals, greenhouse crops, flowers and field crops. Consisting of 5% sesame oil and 92% fish oil, the manufacturer applied for a patent for the synergy between the oils for improved insect and disease control. According to the manufacturers, Organocide has a higher degree of safety to most plants than petroleum oils, even when applied on the hottest days.

If your not flowering yet I personally would HIGHLY recommend orkin's no pest strips. There is a lot of people that say not to use them and people that swear by them. In the past two days they have gotten rid of my knat problems and also my spider mites. So do some research and give it a try. It sure beats spraying something on your plants doesn't it ? Also only use for 4-5 days then reseal it up in a ziplock back incase they return! hope this helps

That stuff will work but the gnats are breeding in your soil. You need to make a soil drench and pour in the pots. mix the same ratio as the spray. I think? anyone else have input?

I personally would avoid using them in flowering. I found that sand on the top of my soil helped get rid of them and also used the fly paper stuff.

If you have fungus gnats you can try slicing some potato and placing it on the top of your soil. Apparently the larva find potato yummy and after a day or so you will see the larva on the slices of potato. Toss them out and the larva goes with them.

We had a big gnat problem - 18 on the fly paper in one day! We simply covered the top 1/2 inch of the soil with clean/washed sand (the gnats lay their eggs in the dirt). You can get it at your local home supply store. Keep pest strips up to catch and adult gnats and turn off your fan for a coupe days. This should do the trick!

My recommendation for gnats is to cut back a little on the water. They like to breed in the dampness. I would say the organicide is a no-go. There are more efficient ways to do it without the use of chemicals.

One more thing: For the pesky spidermites i recommend getting Einstein Oil. You can find it at a lot of places online, either hydro suppliers or even ebay. Not only does it work well on spider mites, it also helps your leaves shine beatifully, and its organic.
