We've raised steer and pigs. Pigs were harder to slaughter b/c they do have a personality and are intelligent. Steers? I won't bore you with all the details about them, but by the time fall rolled around I wanted to shoot them myself. They would shit in their food, bust out of the coral, etc.

I didn't relish the slaughter part, but the reason we raised our own meat is b/c of all the shit the commercial animals are fed. Egads.
