dogs in the grow room

Just wondering if it was a good idea or frowned upon. I just re-did a whole room over with paint on all the walls floor and even sprayed it all down with disenfectant and started fresh. 2 weeks in I noticed some spider mites on 2 of the plants.

I try to keep the dog out as much as I can but I leave the door cracked so he can watch me. The dog is about 100 pounds and stays inside except when he needs to "go" and for walks. Basicly i was wondering if a dog can spread spider mites and if it was a good idea to leave him out of the room.

Keep the dogs out!! Dogs go outside, get mites and eggs on them, mold and mildew spores, then bring them in. I don't even go in my room without changing my clothes after petting my dog and he's a clean inside dog. Dogs are great at contaminating a grow room.

Good to know, even though thats what i figured. Especially when I caught the bastard burying his bone in a 7 gal smart pot with a 2 week clone.

All of my bud would be positively identifiable from the DNA from the dog hair stuck to every bud!!! My boy sheds like nothing I've ever seen. Doubles the trim time just picking off what I can get off!

i swear my cat was a grower in a previous life....

he waits for me to get gardening and sits beside me purring his little heart out when the room is open..

My big boy hangs with me all the time & I've never had a bug problem aside from the odd gnat & I suspect they came in with the soil.
