Okay, about finished a cab using an old stereo cabinet. Ends up being about 17 X 13. Not huge I know but will be fine for clone / veg. , and a short stocky mutha.
Anyways the main door is a stained dark green glass. But it's not dark enough with the lights on.
I really like it. We use it as a T.V. night light (gives me something to look at during commercials).
Anyways, it's still too bright! I noticed that a piece of mylar inside the glass is like a one way mirror of sorts and dulls the light to very acceptable levels.
Problem is, how do I apply the mylar to the glass door and not get wrinkles, irregularities, glue / tape smudges and lines?????
Could I just use a spray bottle of water? How long would that last?
I was told to try hairspray. I'd think it would dry too fast and leave that frosty look like it does on a camera lens filter on portraits and such.
Any ideas??
