...convicted and sentenced.
I figure the high barrier is getting him into court, past all the delays, challenges and general shenanigans.

Once he is there, it’s bobsled time on a constrained course at molar-loosening velocity straight into a foregone conclusion.

boy i wish i had your optimism about all this. since reagan, i've just seen our
country decline. clinton? really? obama, tried, but hell no. i think biden's probly
the best we've had and he's nuthin' but a hack. yah, i'm not real optimistic, but
jeeze, who is nowadays. pessimism has to be the current paradigm for our day to day.

Not sure what your beefs are with Clinton or Obama. In retrospect and imo, they were solid.
Reagan was when the rot became obvious. Supply-side economics, my maiden aunt Fanny.

I sure hope this guy is being paid well and up front, he's earning his money! WTF is this guy gonna do in front of a judge? You can see why Donald fears a court of law and accountability for his actions and crimes. There are no answers except the truth, and they are incapable of speaking it.

As much as you hate Trump's guts, you need him at DeSantis's throat during the election and dividing the republicans until then, you need Donald running around unmuzzled freaking out bigly and sweating bullets. You need to get rid of the GOP in federal politics for a cycle or two at least and Donald is the instrument of their and fox's destruction. Maybe he'll run from his cell as the nominee or as a bull moose but having him in a Sing sing cell won't be as useful as having him running around dividing the GOP and leading his base out of the GOP and into the political wilderness.

Trump’s Lawyer CRUMBLES on LIVE TV Attempting to Defend Client

Donald Trump’s new lawyer Joe Tacopina had a horrendous live appearance on Good Morning America trying to defend Trump from the criminal allegations currently being investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney Alving Bragg.
Interjections by Meidas Touch didn't add clarity, though it was entertaining.

The first half of the interview between Ari Melber and Tacopina is here:

Melber did a great job holding the lawyer accountable for what he and his employer actually said.

I'm optimistic. Pessimism leads to cynicism and clouds thinking. Believe it or not, the trend is toward more inclusion and more diversity in the US society, not less. That's what the right is so riled up about. Donald effing Trump and fascist white supremacy was the best they could do. That speaks volumes to me about how bankrupt the Republican Party is in terms creative and intelligent leadership.

He looks like a mob lawyer who is a little too tight with the mob! His imposing demeanor and deep voice probably impressed Donald more than his brain and he will need one of those in court. The judge still sits above him no matter how big a guy he is, and he will need to make more fucking sense than he did on his TV appearances!

the problem is they're just intelligent enough to convince the really stupid that they're on their side, and you know how hard it is to change those tiny little minds, once they get moving in one direction.

You don't need to convince everybody, just enough and the republicans are helping a lot with that, by rights they like Trump should be fucked at the polls. Donald is the front runner in the GOP and has 40% of republicans, half of them insanely hardcore, I wonder what the effect of him not getting the nomination would be? It depends on what he does, if he is rejected by the GOP, of course the vote will be rigged, and they cheated him (them) and sold out. Would he do a bull moose run complete with some senate and house candidates for the "Truth Party" or some such nonsense and screw the GOP? His only chance of getting sprung is to win the presidency or own someone who does, so he can get a federal pardon. A taste of rikers and then Sing Sing might motivate Donald mightily to GET ME OUTTA HERE! Will Kevin visit him to get "counseling" from Donald? Will Lindsey show up on visiting day to try and keep Donald on side? I'm pretty sure MTG will visit Donald in the NY big house...
