Don't YOU think the prices of weed are insane?

How much do you think top quality bud should cost/oz?

if we had a regulated system of outdoor growers, cali, as well as other states, would never be dry. there is more than enough land to support all the pot smokers in america outdoors.
If,if ,if...Just like bongjuice said,"supply and demand" will come with price variation.

I think you are in need of an economics lesson:

we are not in a market with perfect competition with marijuana, we are in a market with supply, and demand, but no competition.

this means, dealers can bloat prices to whatever they want with whatever bullshit justification they have, without having to worry about what the guy down the street charges.

if there was a regulated system, in which competition actually had to come into play, the prices of weed would be atleast 150% cheaper. all of you dealers trying to over-charge would be left with no business, and you would all fail and end up either growing for yourself or buying from the guys who have the competition down.

the lot of you seem to think that this is fair, when you're not even working within a valid legal market, it's essentially black market, so you have no right to call yourselves reasonable dealers unless you truly deal reasonable prices.

but without competition, you guys have no idea what the 'reasonable' price is. so until competition comes into play, this entire system is fucked with fucked prices, and people mindlessly believing it should be that expensive . . . .

round these parts, you're looking at from anything from - $420- 600 for high end. So if I were to grow anything in between would be acceptable because thats how it is. Im not going to sell myself short, I know that.

dude wtf...smh...how about you come to a non medical state, grow down here, then proceed to sell bud for 100$ an ounce. See what I mean? No one would do that shit wtf dude why don't you complain about coke prices that shit starts in the ground...;-):peace:

okay well maybe that'd work cause people would buy the shit out of you at 100$ an ounce. But you'd get a lot of heat and you'd probably end up shot...

Not including any setup costs, it costs me about $1-$2 a gram to grow my own. I do not have the set up or skills and grow low yielding potent strains and only get 1.5 zips per plant.

However! There is an incredible amount of time that goes into a perpetual garden, from cuttings to curing. Luckily I love my ball and chain (vacation...I don't think so!).

Now I do not sell, but I grow more than I need. I have hooked up the ex-wife and a few friends, and the fact that I have more than I need keeps my needed compensation low, but come on! The folks that are asking for $150 or less, either do not grow...or if they do they grow those strains that are huge yielders, look really nice...but are not good for anything but a big splif and a nap.

Who needs 25%thc...I do. Smoking is bad for you.

Dust, dirt, bird shit, grease from your neighbors fried turkey, rubber, are all likely to be on your unwashed and vaporized "produce from the ground", not to mention the bugs, bunnies, and bandits! And though everyone has the "right" to move anywhere and grow...this is about as assinine statement as I have ever heard...like people actually choose to live where they live...it IS that simple on paper, but life is real.

Oh....wait a minute....I think I get it...first of all I think $200-$250 is a great deal, come on it is <$10 a gram...why would someone actually complain about paying even $280?...unless, maybe, could it be CUZ THEY ARE SELLING IT!!!!! They ran out of what they grew to sell and are now having to pay someone else

If I did not grow my own...I would GLADLY, HAPPILY...I would be freakin STOKED to find someone who would sell me bags of Headband and Trainwreck for $40 1/8th...Again only cuz I got lots...I fronted the ex a half for 50 last week, but that is not what it is worth...to me at least.

I live in San Diego...the local guy wants $55, his scale gets ya for .2, and though it always has some designer name, the weed is lame. The clinics want 50-65 (1/8th) even with all the new ones popping up

fucking seriously, that dude is obviouslry thinking on pure greed and emotion, rather than sense and logic.
wtf dude I'm saying you WOULD get shot by some bad motherfucker or some skinny punk if you had half of Phoenix buyng from you...people would be pissed/broke I didn't say I'd shoot you. Yea and LOGICALLY a plant should be free but like I said...grow and sell your shit for 100$ an ounce

I just strongly disagree with your prices and your justification for those prices.
I've heard this argument before, It's usually from kids who like weed but only make $8/hr.
If I knew you personally, you wouldn't be worthy enough to smoke my weed for any price.

damn dude...

its just his opinion. no need to say he's a kid.

My brother was selling my ex oz's for $300. (this was hydro)

And trust me, that is a GREAT price here in SoCal for top notch weed.

I still don't think it should be more than $200-$250.
Just my opinion.

You keep repeating the same bullshit over and over.

YES there is competition!

When everyone else in town was selling the dankest weed for 45 an eighth, I got myself a half p and stated selling them for $40. Guess what? in 3 days I had half their customers.

People like YOU, don't like paying more money for weed. So, if they have somebody who will offer them the same bud for cheaper what will they do. Now tell me that isn't competition.

All your theories sound great, but will get you know where. I hate shooting down ideas, but that's all you're doing to everyone else so... :finger:

your own fault/totally preventable . . . .
No, not totally preventable. If someone wants something bad enough, they will go to any length to obtain it.
Puji, eh? I just need a few hundred acres of land...ok, a hundred will suffice.

wow, anyone who thinks there is competition in the current weed market is a total IDIOT.

I really want to stop posting here, but I'll continue to do so for sheer entertainment.

the mere amount of illogical thinking here is funny by itself.

oh and nice lesson there frenchy, you really sound like you actually know what you're talking about, LOL

yeah you're not corrupted by greed atleast ;). 200-250 isn't that bad of a price for weed.

but I still think it's too much, for most weed. if it was the top quality shit I'd pay 200 bucks for it. but I don't believe it should be anymore than that.

EVEN if you shelled out $5000+ for your indoor system . . . . .

but truly, we're lacking perfect competition here. so far the way things are at now, it takes more than 3 dealers to change the general price of weed in an area.

if COMPETITION were TRULY here. . . . ONE person could lower their prices and EVERYONE would lower their prices to COMPETE.....

didn't know competition was such a hard concept for you dealers.

High prices aren't greed people gotta eat and I'm sure a lot of dealers have kids. Selling an ounce for 100$ would make you one broke ass dude.

yeah, it would actually.

flipping weed isn't all that easy unless you get
it for a great price.

each flip has the potential to only make so much.

i kinda feel bad for dealers. :-(

now if someone had a perpetual grow house harvesting
2lbs every two weeks, then they could easily sell oz's
for $150 and still make bank.

or sell a pound for $2000.

whatever.
