Don't YOU think the prices of weed are insane?

How much do you think top quality bud should cost/oz?

still, if I can get bud like this for under 200 dollars, with a yield of over 5 pounds, SOMETHING is fucking WRONG here.

indoor growing is not NECESSITY. therefore it shouldn't be used to define the price of bud.

I remember my dad telling me how he used to buy an ounce for $20 when he was a teenager (early to mid 1960's). Probably was some serious schwag, but still. Crappy weed runs around $150 per oz around here, but expect to pay upwards of $400 for a decent oz.

It's the risk involved that drives the prices in a black market, so in places where there is very little leniency when it comes to sentencing for drug offenses the prices always tend to be higher.

Shit yes its WAY too expensive. I hear stories everyday talkin about 50 an eighth and shit. That's insanity. NONE of my patients pay more than 10 dollars for a four finger lid (about a half o by my hand) and clones are ALWAYS free. Though I encourage a 5 dollar donation to cover gels and vitamin b never neccessary. I'm bringin back the 70's I'm always told. Call me the wal mart of medicinal.

Not relevant anymore? How so?

Last time I checked, cannabis is still illegal in the US. Here on the east coast we don't have "cannabis clubs" or whatever like they have in CA. We either have to risk our necks to grow our own shit or haul it in from Mexico.

The price is quite dependent on the amount of risk involved. It isn't irrelevant at all.

more and more states are getting medical legislation.

cali has enough room to supply all the pot in america.

so yes, it's irrelevant.

^Aye foo!^ That shits relevant to everyone that doesn't live in a med state which would be something like 47 states. People that deal in those non-med states are risking jail time for selling bud.

well....... i consider the possibility of jail time to be very valuable.
Yea that's true. I said about 100$ per ounce but honestly someone risking their freedom to sell some weed is worth more than that shit(bout 300$)

still, too many legal growers exist to really make such an argument anymore.

YOU ALL can move to a legal state if you wanted to, so there really isn't any excuse here. there's 12 or so states that have it legal like that, that's PLENTY of room to supply the demand of america.

First, it's only legal for medical users.

Second, even medical users have to buy pot on the black market because many of those states with medical marijuana laws DO NOT allow patients (or anyone else) to grow or distribute "legal" marijuana to patients.

Third, despite state laws that allow medical use of cannabis - it's still illegal under federal law (which makes even "legal" growing risky. Ask Charles Lynch if you don't believe me).

Just because a handful of states recognize cannabis as a medicine, doesn't mean the black market has vanished. The laws are far from perfect, and even "legal" growers can end up in federal prison.

So yeah, it's risky, that's what drives black market economics. Nothing has changed.

Oh, and just because there are "legal" growers, doesn't mean they can sell their product to just anybody.

If they're growing legally, then they are selling to cannabis clubs who provide the drug to registered medical marijuana patients. If you aren't a medical marijuana patient, then you aren't going to be buying any of this "legal" pot.

So...I don't live in Cali how am I gonna get weed from a legal grower legally?

YOU ALL can move to a legal state if you wanted to (Not everyone is willing to move for some bud) so there really isn't any excuse here. there's 12 or so states that have it legal like that, that's PLENTY of room to supply the demand of america.
I don't wanna move and I want weed...I will pay 300 an O for my dude getting me shit illegally. It's like your paying 100$ for the product and 200$ for the work. If you don't wanna pay for the work then do it yourself a.k.a. grow your own

Wow your a tool. Not everyone can move to a legal state, what a stupid thing to say. And I doubt the small percentage of licensed growers in the 12 legal states will produce anywhere near enough weed to "supply the demand of america" at 6-12 plants per crop per person.

I believe your argument is not valid.

I agree 500 an oz is excessive, but 150 oz.... you have got to be kidding me. It takes alot of effort and money to produce an ounce of highs. Do you grow Poplars?

Just my 2 cents.

sorry but I don't believe any weed is worth above 150 an oz.

if I can grow top quality bud for practically free, outdoors, there's no reason for this crap.

either way, this is about how much it SHOULD cost, not how much you THINK it should cost because you're risking your freedom.

second these legalization bills pass, we'll see how much weed TRULY should cost.

I second that.
Thank u kind sirs. Much appreciated. I just don't see it. Obviously if ur state has no medi program high prices are almost guarenteed. But to me I see NO need to inflate. The average grow cost me about 30 (once I had the room setup. Now I pay thirty ish at the beginning of each round for nute/odds and ends) so why try? I have three patients so if each buys a 10 I'm covered for that grow and they've only taken one plant basically and I'm left with five plants of med that I can do whatever with. I'm not in this for cash. A pocketfull of cash and a new car don't touch the feeling I get when I get to see a dying aunt smile or a cancer patient able. To eat or even an insomniac blacking out on my rug. From a killer gravity hit. U just can't touch the feeling of basically being a saint to these people. Worth ALL the risk and then some. I hope soon we all se it my way and the 50 will all have a medi program. The seventies are comin back if its the last thing I do lol. Anywho thanks again for the rep and sorry about the book
