Yes, the parcel is at the post office, and will be available to you at the time stated on the slip you received, likely sometime around noon-2pm the following day. Congrats :D

Yeah, he received it, but unfortunately, it was denied due to the "Specialist" not being recognized or some bullshit like that.

Oh fuck what a bummer. Did he find a better doctor? On the bright side, most of us had to wait MONTHS in the past to get feedback from health canada. He at least got an answer pretty fast.

@GODOFBUD, why dont you try one of those paid doctors?

I don't think the doctor is the one who is the problem, I believe it's the specialist who diagnosed him with a category 2 condition isn't authorized.

Ya but I thankfully found a actual specialist and have an appt in one week now dose the specialist have to sign in the specialist part or can I just

Ya my reg doc signed but the other doctor that is doing my treatment isn't a specialist but thankfully my reg doctor got me into a specialist in one week so I still have it in the bag I hope@

No, the specialist does not need to sign anything at all, all he has to do is diagnose you, once he has diagnosed you, you can use him as the specialist on your forms, you don't even need to tell him that's what your doing, just simply that you would like a diagnosis from a licensed specialist.bI believe all you need to provide is the Name of the specialist, the phone number, and the practice name (maybe) so that HC can verify the validity of the individual license, he should not be contacted even by HC.

Good luck, and hopefully this works out for you.

And does health Canada check with specialist or can I write the specialist name in the column specialty and date of appt because according to hc a specialist does not have to sign I only to see specialist

Exactly, because essentially the way it works, is the signing doctor is also verifying that this specialist has diagnosed you with this condition by signing the forms in the first place.

Ohh okay I might as well send the app back then since I know the appt date and my doc emailed him my blood work so the specialist wont have to do a thing, and that's what I don't get about mine my blood work clearly shows, the disease so why dose a specialist need to verify something my reg doc knows and the treatment doc knows very.stupid atleast the turn around is quick for mail anyway thanks for the info much appreciated +rep buddie

No worries, I would still highly recommend waiting for the appointment to send in his name to Health Canada, JUST to be on the safe side. And with the turnaround being so quick lately, what's the harm in waiting 1 week to make sure you have ALL your t's crossed and i's dotted, you have first hand experience of being refused, don't let a technicality do it to you again.

Just recieved my renewel and it came in 9 weeks, their back to normal...

I was under the understanding that seeing a specialist requires a doctor's appointment and an actual physical visit? Im not sure but I would check into that, if your bloodwork was sent over that may not be constituted as "having seen" a specialist.

Good Luck with everything
