I'm telling you what I know....that's a true story.....Wow, I had no idea...one could be busted that way. The consequences never really occurred to me. I'm going to do some reading in the legal edge forum. Thanks man!
The point is, the Feds are out there lurking like a great white, and our best chance at survival is to look like all the other minnows in the school....from there it's just a matter of luck.Just make sure you have a lawyer on retainer..
a few years ago there was an RIU Mod that got busted by the Feds & almost took a few of us with him.......I got very lucky.
He's out of prison now, but I haven't seen him back on the boards...may still be on probation.
If you have something to lose, for instance, own your property or have money in the bank consider yourself a target for the feds.
If you are outdoors the feds know youre growing, count on it. A fly over with photo recon that can be reviewed back at the office is enough to get them to a warrant. Hopefully you are all in MJ friendly locations, you will be less likely to get paid a visit.
Im also when wondering when the feds are going to start bringing charges against growers for tax evasion. They catch everyone with that shit. Lets face it, if you're making money and they aren't they are going to be pissed.
Now I see what happens when I don't have any new pictures to post....lol
Most of the big grows in Cali are on rented land with alias's.....walk away operations...
This is all your fault!!!
Really, this is a good discussion though. People should know what they are up against and can weigh if the risk is worth the return.
Three simple rules could keep a lot of people out of trouble, 1) do not talk about your grow to anyone 2) do not say ANYTHING to the cops other than your name and that you want a lawyer 3) get a good lawyer.
Yep, for sale by owner properties, rented property, no back accounts, credit cards, auto loans, cash only...
