Yo! I sold New Toyotas...yep, I was one of THOSE GUYS:fire::bigjoint:I will surely burn in hell.
But then I lived in Texas so I have done my time in HELL:bigjoint:
Please don't nobody sell cars for a living ( actually it is a slow death, very ugly, nasty nasty bad business)...you will be better off not doing so, and I mean no offense to any successful salesperson out there, it just was not the job for me for 5 long years.

What problems after sales??..lol..motto was u bought it you own. If you have a problem ill sit it out the back of the yard for 3 months until the warranty runs out and then ring you to come pick it up. (thats if we didnt advance the speedo till just after the 160k warranty mileage limit...hehe)

Used cars at the time had to be under ten years old and have less than 160k on the clock to qualify for a 3month or 5,000klm warranty.
Most cars close to 160k we used as drive cars or advanced the speedo to just over 160k.
After market warranties changed allot of that as we would just book everything to that. (and add a % for ourselves)

Then there are the customers who know to much and are to smart for that stuff
A used car salesman here where i live had to change addresses quite regularly because of ppl hunting hom down after hours.
Then there was the guy who fucked the salesmans wife and wiped his dick on the salesmans pillow .....
Quit the job pretty quick and also went thru a messy divorce all because he fucked over the wrong customer

yea. canget messy.

Most the used cars yards in Sydney were pretty much money laundering or cash hiding operations. Operated on behalf of organised crime. Not unlike tattoo parlors. Not the people u mess with. I must say i never had a problem with "Nasty customers". except for one dude who came in with a hand gun and started banging it on the desk..but thats another story..

Same when i was in motorbikes..the gangs own, or at least have an "interest" in the shops. When i did have problem customers in the bike trade ( i had a few ) i just passed the details up. Never had a problem after that.

Sheesh you guys have regulations up the ass, as for dicking with odometers, that's somewhat of a felony and some new car guys only did that on dealer trades, when swapped with another dealership a guy could drive to, disconnect the cable at a rest stop and then drive on to the dealership, reattach cable, deliver the car, get paid, buy powders, go to Vegas. I bet I can find a razor blade, coke and or crystal meth at any dealership, generally taped under the toilet tank lid. Fuckers could party, thats for sure. I worked at a dealership in Dallas, five acres of cars, 3 different nameplates, a bunk house and cafeteria, showers. You could live there, sweet deal for gypsy types who had to move around a lot for obvious reasons.

haha fk yea!

My first Saturday at a yard selling. I sold a car and was on cloud nine. Sales manager calls me into his office. Gave me a line of go and said "on Saturday and Sunday every car you sell u get a line". One sat I sold 6. lol.
