Thank you very much. She was under a 400w HPS light all by her little lonesome self.
Ok I am just curious how much of a increase did you see on your electric bill by using a 400 watt. I am thinking of getting a hps light, just worried about the electric bill.

Well with a 400w you wont really notice that much of an increase. I like the 400w cause you don't need for vent if cause of heat you can keep it in a room as long as you have fans to circulate the air flow and have AC vents. I have another room with 600w and I have fans sucking the hot are out into my attic. you might see a 2% increase. but that also depends on where you live. out here in AZ power cost some $$$

So 400w=0.4WH so it' it's .12 per KWH then 0.4x.12=0.048x24h=$1.20 an hour I'm in banking so I'm good with numbers
I certainly wouldn't want you doing my mortgage. It is not $1.20 an hour, it is $1.20 a day IF YOU RUN 24 HOURS OF LIGHT STRAIGHT, which is unnecessary for plant growth.

More than likely you will be looking at .90 $ a day if you are going with a 18/6 schedule for veg and a .60 $ a day if you are going with a 12/12 schedule for flower.

Yeah you would!!

I got my numbers mixed up. And also missed types something. I just used Google to get the equation without clearly reading everything, and assumed on some of it.

So how is your Mortgage? Are you happy with your rate? You underwater? JK

Hey now, I read in another thread where you said a 220v ballast would cost 1/2 as much to run as a 110v!! I wasn't going to say anything buuuuttttt, you're billed by kilowatt hours, not amp hours, so you'd only save 2-3% at best, not 1/2 pffffft bwaha, what! :P J/K, everybody makes mistakes.

Good call, that would only be true if you got charged by the amperage used but you get charged by the killowatt hour, quite a big difference! Thanks for pointing that out I wonder if that was something I picked up in Cervantes because it seems to be a pretty popular opinion lol
