Dr. Greenthumb has very kindly gifted me a pack of 5 of his OG Kush feminized to test. I'll be dropping these in a glass of natural spring water tonight.(Nov 9th).

I dropped 3 seeds in a glass of natural spring water. One bean immediately went to the bottom. The next day all three were on the bottom.
They were then placed in moist paper towel and all have germinated. They will be going in a soiless mix tonight.

I ended up waiting until last night before putting the beans in soil as I like to see a decent tail before I drop them. They still weren't as long as I would have liked but I didn't want to wait any longer.
Sorry for the lack of pics but my camera went doa on me today. I'll post/update again once and if they break the surface. One looked great but the other two I'm not sure about. They are in cups of promix with added perlite and dolomite lime.

I ended up putting the other 2 beans in water and they are in a wet paper towel now. Only 1 of the 3 broke the soil so I figured I'd do the other 2 as well. Here's the lone OG....

just thought that i would throw some excitement your way m8.. i just grew out some of these two grows ago, and it was superb smoke... taste smell and the high were all great, and the yeild was even better than i was expecting as well.. super plants all around.. and the best part is that i've still got 8 more beans to germ come some rainy day.. i would post up some pix of the grow, but my hard drive crashed and i lost all of my pix, but if you want i have a journal on here with tons of pix if you want to check them out,..

The last two beans have been planted as of tonight. One had a nice long tail, the other was short and curly so we'll see.

My apologies....the OG will go in a soiless mix(promix), using Fox Farm nutes. Lighting will be a combination of T5's and two 400's for veg and a 600 and a 1000 watt light for flowering the ladies.

Out of the 5 OG Kush, 2 made it and 3 did not.
The 2 OG's are doing well. The last one that came through seems to be ok now.

I transplanted the larger OG and the smaller one will be transplanted tomorrow.

Actually Rockin's camera died and he stopped all journals. But very good of you to point it out on every thread.

dr. gruber. you can take pics with even your cell phone now. no excuse not to finish a grow journal when you've been gifted beans to run it imo. If Dr. greenthumbs would like to gift me a pack of 5 og ghost i would gladly do a full journal and post everything on a 5-7 day interval. i've been hearing a lot of negatives on dr. greenthumbs but i would like to believe his genetics are great. iv also heard some good things. just dont know what to believe anymore. anyways i put it out if dr. greenthumbs wants me to do a full journal with no interruptions i would gladly oblige.

I do agree you should finish what you started- but life takes us all sorts of places and things happen. I should also mention that Rockin had security problems as far as i know. Sometimes you just cant finish. Rockin is a good guy so Im guessing Greenthumb has forgiven him.

Yield on this was the lowest of any plants I have grown but I'll admit that could be my fault...I was trying out uncle bens topping method to try and grow cola's...these OG's dont grow cola's, just rock hard golf balls, if I had bushed them out like my current plants I'm sure it would have been better. There was a bit of pheno variation too, worst plant was about 2oz, best was 2.5oz....a far cry from the 5.5 oz average I pulled from his sour D's

Now u see why ogs are so expensive ...
I never yield the same anymore sine i tend to grow mostly og ..
But i try an throw some sativa and kush in my grows to even it out....
Its tuff to tell u fer sure if the bud formation on the plants are og dom....(one definately looks more chem or diesil fer sure)
but like you say ogs dont foxtale .. mainly the growth is dispersed in large bud clusters....golf ball sized)
Tops alomst being the same size as the middle bud sites...
One thing u cant mistake is that no true og stays short.. they really stretch ut maintain fat indi leaves.... but the bud sites are mostly swollen pod.. (with minimal calyxis coming out)
always been a lil skep of thumbs...
