I'm not an amateur when it comes to germinating seeds, I always get 100% success. But this is where my problem started with this strain.
I first tried 3 seeds in straight R/O water(ph was low at testing around 5.
about 28 hours later only one pops and starts to grow (it's transplanted to the trusty wet paper towel in a CD case) the other two stay in water up to 48 hours then forced to paper towel for further germination.... about a week and half later.. signs of complete failure. the one success is put into soil (straight promix BX formula)
Now the second problem starts, after one week of "growth" there is no signs of vigiours growth starting, in fact its still just two leaves (like its been on a coffee break all damn week and not getting any work done)
Starting to get seriously pissed off at this strain, I divide the remaining seeds into groups of two and try different water. (temperature was @ 27 for all)
1- softened tap water (ph was around 7) .... result... failure in two weeks
2- softened tap water with ST .... result .... all pop then fail next day
3- bottled water .... result ... I got one to pop and grew through all stages into soil
4- bottled water (same as 3 for control reasons) .. result .... failure
I now have two seedlings growing at a completely patheic rate, like one tiny baby leaf per day on the good plant, and barely visible growth on the other one. I have done everything I can think of to the soil, nuting and flushing it seems to make no difference to the plant (it does however respond to ph changes in the soil) last watering was with just peroxide/silicate and ST (praying and hoping the plant will build some stem mass cause their so thin, like toothpicks)
I'm suspecting it's just this strain that has some poor genetics and is really picky about some environment variable I can't figure out. But it really pisses me off I paid him $131 for these seeds that weren't even that dark (low to mid-grade quality)
Anyone out there grown this strain or have any ideas what maybe causing this?
