Dr4g0n3's First Hydroponics grow.

thank you for the replies guys. I was thinking today about lowering the light and moving my fan, not sure how I can get it cooler.

I took your advice (and what I was honestly thinking today at work) and lowered my light 3 inches so its super close. I put my big fan on top of my bulb unit, and it does not get warm at all.

Checked pump today for "goo" wasnt aware of this gunk until a post today, only noticed salt like substance on top of the pump, fins clear of any substance. also turned up pump speed.

2nd sprout has roots coming out bottom now

first sprout had a root about a foot long now, no longer taking it out of its spot.

two flowering plants, both are leaning, I untied so they can bush more later :)

I may just dump the double branch plant and keep the single stem for later.

Update:

Was watching my temps last night after lowering the light and it raised quickly.

Took my turbo fan legs off and it not sits in the same spot but lower, getting same cooling effect as before and sitting in low 80's, some time reaching 79 if window open to my room.

It looks like it is doing well. I usually have a few extra clones and weed out the runts and throw them away. That would be my only suggestion. If you have more to choose from you can take clones off of the dominant ones and let those ones live on and not worry about runts in the future.

Thank you for the post, I plan on making a another aero system after seeing how to make them here, and use one CFL per clone, I also plan on having them far enough apart I can pull them and put it in my bigger system once those plants are done.

I will for sure take from the stronger plant, good advice.

Day 7: Flushed whole system, salt like substance on bottom of system, removed this during removal of all water.

Day 8:
City planned a scheduled power outage for work in the area, moved plants from box to sun lit area until power returned

Day 9:
Pics
Lowered PH,
Upping dosage of nutes tomorrow.
Bigger plant going strong,
smaller one still going, just not as strong.

Day10

The stem is so much thicker then the plants I grew previously, note to self, never half ass the lighting, just pick up a unit for 150 and be good.

upped my nutes today. my bigger plant is getting huge, every time I look at it I see a huge change. growing atleast 25% a day currently.

Thanks man!

Another update. my White Widow Seeds showed up today, Put two into peat plugs and if they sprout ill throw them into the net cups where the two flowering plants are,. and say "screw it, time for anew"

They will grow under HPS lighting. Why not??

with me being so excited about my seeds I ripped out the two crappy flowering plants and moved my two that are in veg to the back, waiting for sprouts and oorts on seeds and putting those babys in, was most worried about roots growing together and screwing things up

The only advice I'll give is not to over manage your plants.

You're doing fine, just thought I'd give a friendly reminder. One newbie to another :weed:

Day 12:
pics: baby looks fat, I hope that its fem,

Day 2 White Widow seeds:
seeds have broken open and sprout is barely sticking out, hope these turn fem also, ill be cloning these babies for a long time if so.

Day 14 Baggy plants:
Getting big, not doing much to them except watering , checking ph and adding nutes (when adding water) stem is bigger then the diameter of a color pencil.

Day 4 White Widow
they have sprouted! placed under lights now!

Day 16, plant is 8 inches tall, smaller one is about 5, they both look to be female, wont know until little hair comes out of the little tube on the sides.

Day 6 White Widow, still alive. not growing super fast, but we shall see.

There was two leafs touching the bottom of the shelf and got encrusted with salts, chopped them so they dont anymore.

I dont have to mess with the PH that often, and I hand stir the water each day.

Came home today and my babies drank 3/4 a gallon of water. also added two more bubblers and flipped my WW babies into the other slots.

Root system is huge on my two plants. tons of super fine fingers coming off the roots.

No discoloration to my leafs.

also think two big plants are fems, have the pistol things on the sides, dont see nuts on them.
