For those who have a drip system how often and for how long do you let your pump run? I have 2 freinds that run theres continuously with no problems. I'm just curious what other people do. Thanks in advance.

I go 15 minutes on, 45 minutes off. I run mine 24/7 but some people turn theirs off at night. I would suggest that it come on at least once per hour.

wouldnt it depend on the stage the plant is at and how much water it needs?

isnt it also medium dependant?

i am a first time driper user and i have been progressingly going higher, from twice a day from seedlings now to 8 times a day for small plant, it also depends on if the plant being small and dependant on the rockwool cube, once a nice root system through the rockwool you should bump it up

I came on RIU today looking for the answer to this question... I have 18 plants in a recirculating hydro system and i was running the pump all day until i started getting mass amounts of fungis gnats. I started only watering during the day and they still were growing in numbers... so i bombed them and am now running the water only twice a day for 25min and its working decent. Anyone have any advice?

It may be medium dependent. I only use hydroton.

Plants in drip love water when they are in hydroton. I've ran the emitters 24 hours a day with no noticeable difference.
