Hello there,
This is my first post here in rollitup and I'm a newbie in growing this beautiful plant. Thanks a lot to you guys for keeping this site up and running. Lots of good info!
Here's what I have:
- 3 plants, probably skunks, growing (from seeds) since the end of May. I guess they're close to the end of vegetation period.
-Outdoor soil growing (in my balcony).
-Soil is regular house-plant soil that I got from a gardening shop.
- I've been watering everyday with tap water (pH checked, a little lower than 7). Lately, I've been giving a little less than a litre of water to all three of them everyday.
So, here's what's happening:
Everything was going alright until a few days (maybe a week) ago when one of my plants' leaves started drooping extremely. Please check the pics, its the one in the middle. (This happened the day after feeding them some nutrients. But I've been doing this once every ten days and everything was fine.)
First I thought this is about overwatering so stopped watering for a couple of days but leaves kept drooping.
I just bought today a device that measures pH and moisture, checked what's going on. Moisture is 1 over 10 now (at the time of taking the pics.) But pH level seems a little over 7. This is not very good and I'll try to sort it out today. I heard the simplest method to decrease pH level is to add a little vinegar to the water when watering. Could anyone back this up?
Lately, another plant started showing the same symptoms (the one on the right, see the pics).
This is strange because all three plants received completely the same treatment. One of them is doing fine, not a big plant, but looks healthy. (Visible on the pics.)
I've read many threads on overwatering and I still think that this is the problem, but I need some experienced input on this. Since this is my first time growing, I can't be sure if it is overwatering or underwatering, a classical newbie issue as you can see
Should I leave them without water for about a week and see what happens?
One more thing to add: There were five plants in three pots until about ten days ago. Two of them clearly showed they were males and I cut them immediately. The one that showed droopy leaf problem first, is the one that grew by itself in one pot from the beginning.
I'm sorry if this is too long description of a problem. But I need some support asap or these plants will die soon.
Any advice is appreciated,
Thanks,
E.
