dry ice????

has anybody ever used dry ice is it better than the alternative any horror stories?or anybody who would advise usin it?

i intended to but could not make it to the store every day. Got a tank off craigslist and a regulator off ebay. much more realistic.

i thought it kept in a standard freezer does the co2 benefit alot or can it be done just as good without it????

Let me ask you, do you or anybody else live in the same house as these plants?

waste of time and money!

using c02 from dry ice is going to cost a buttload of money each week, imop its not worth the effort. Your going to spend more in the end using dry ice then just buying a tank/regulator set it up and go, dryice= a pain in the ass...your choice though

Hey Impreza have you heard about how to make a homade co2 generator??????????

dry ice for co2... like trying to save your sweat to water your plants. get a tank and regulator, or a burner.

Sort of, it does evaporate, just a bit more slowly in the freezer, I think it needs to be stored at something like 100 below freezing.

It can be done just as well without it. It is not a big difference, switching to HID lights from floros or switching from hydro from soil has a much bigger effect. I started using it because my closet has just 1 computer fan as an intake and one exhaust, both are 12v computer fans so its not really enough, it seemed to me that my plants were not getting enough air. They seem healthy now, but I cant say I noticed any huge difference. Without the ability to have duplicates of my closet and adding CO2 to one and one without and compare the harvest. Just based on gut feeling it is helping some.

I think excellofizz is more practical then dry ice. I was able to trade the welding shope a mig welding tank which is argon and co2 for a co2 tank. You may want to look on craigs list for a welding tank and see if you can trade that for a co2. Then get a $60 regulator and solonoid from ebay and a wall timer, this way you can add Co2 for less than $200.
