You don't have to cut it - just make sure you have adaquate air flow & fairly low humidity. My biggest challenge is to find a jar that these fuckers fit in.

All I have is a hydrometer, I will at least be able to monitor the humidity
& Temp.

To answer your second Question. The strain is a G-13 hybrid. Today it is 7 weeks into flower. It sprouted June 1rst. Can't do the math at this time :)

Thats one nice big bud :hump: I know it sucks to cut it up but you have to ask yourself...What are you going to do with it? Are you going to frame it? Are you going to sell it or are you going to smoke it? If you are going to smoke it, take pics and cut it down to manageable sizes. Otherwise your chasing ideas and items to cure it properly all the while hoping to avoid mold. You have to pick the lesser of two evils sometimes.

Nice nails BTW ;)

Good points there boneman - however I do like taking a nice monster nug to a get-together with friends. They are with out a doubt a macho statement, but in (this) land of growers they are always a party favorite.
As for mould, dried and cured properly they are no more susceptible to mould than the popcorns.

I let them dry out for a week before harvesting. With Colas like that (Gorgeous!), the less moisture inside the better. The only time I ever had Bud Mold was a grow when I cut really turgid plants. Warmer temps, RH around 60% or lower, and good airflow and circulation in the drying area and you'll be good to go. I have a few Honkers on the table as well.

Hydrometer? don't you mean Hygrometer. I'm in Midwest (indoor) and that plant in my avatar was massive. It was hung but within a couple days , had to add dehumidifier. I ended up snipping all the buds on the cola and am glad I did because there was the beginning of mold. SO really pay attention to those massive buds and keep a very close watch on humidity
