Drying hash with a Buchner funnel

The paper is a really low mircon, so it would probably help with the vacuum. I've never seen a buchner funnel being used with any other type of filter.
Also I thought I remembered seeing the screens which were 25u ... Same as my press screen so I just thought duh no brainer use the screen.

So mine has a cap, that suctions on when I'm running it. Am I to understand this is incorrect? It's supposed to run open? What would the cap be for?

I use this method and it’s quite simple. I use a porcelain Büchner funnel and filter paper with medium flow. You wet the filter paper, then apply vacuum, and finally spread your hash evenly. Make sure the hash covers the entirety of the filter. Leave for a few minutes then remove the filter with the hash and break apart and place somewhere cool and dark with a fan moving the air around (not direct air).

have you tried drying in a pizza box that is kept in a refrigerator?
Normally I freeze it then microplane it onto parchment and dry it on the floor in the dry tent in the basement. Floor is about 64ish°
I have left some in the freezer for a long time and the moisture crystalized on the inside of the bag and the hash was dry (forgot about it)

I think the most effective way to do this is to have a lot of hash fill the funnel. To the point of covering the whole frit so air is forced THROUGH the hash and not around it. That's my guess at why this isn't working.
