hey all!! I have a 5x5 tent that runs an 11/13 from seed schedule. I have small plants and some decent basic up high in one of the corners... Could I dry buds up there?
I know the humidity, temps and air circulation is good but a little worried about them getting the reflective light during the 11 hours of lights on...

Snagged a pic from google images of the netting which I could do as it looks handy for hanging...

thanks for any thoughts! and... stay high 8-)

Above the light? Yeah would be ok. As long as there is no direct light. Also what's the temp up there? Maybe too warm. You want about 21c.

Also... I have done half a tent... put up a maylar curtain and split the room. Worked quite well... perfect temperature. 12 day dry

Thats some bad ass advice right there

After 10 weeks why degrade the weeds quality flavour etc u need 5 days for natural bacterias and chrolorphyl to drain thats not happening in the top of a tent.

Any light even a plug socket light can effect it

As soon as a cannabis plant has been harvested, it begins to degrade. Not only is the plant itself no longer alive and receiving nutrients from the root ball it was once attached to, the cannabinoid biosynthetic pathways have been disrupted as well. In this process, cannabinoids and terpenes synthesize into other compounds, subsequently altering their psychoactive properties. For example, temperature has the ability to cause THCA to decarboxylate and become THC (which is highly psychoactive), but heat and light can cause THC to degrade to CBN over time as well

The weed i dry in light slowly curmbled to powder even on a slow dry the weed compositionn cha ges

Hey brother - Thanks for the reply... it's 62% RH and 71.8F (22.11c) up there right now with the lights on.

Nice... 12 day dry... Are they huge buds or just that is the norm?

I did buy a 2x4 tent that I'm not using that I can set up to dry in. Was just hoping to use the space in the filtered tent ... also checking temps again up there now it's 74F x 59% RH... so maybe a little warm ...

One more good reason for you to have hung up the whole plant instead of chopping it up like that.
Try it on your next plant if space allows
Yes, you know I think I will eventually do that. Only this is I wash my buds before hanging and with my wash set up it is easier just doing branches. But you are right, thanks!

First few harvests i hung single branches and I swear it was dry in 3 days. But the taste and smell was not as appealing.

Here's an idea i've been kicking around. Building a box to dry in and cutting out holes for intake and exhaust.

My brother using my tent, so I’m planning on making a pvc “tent”. Deciding between thick plastic liner for sides or some kind of black curtain. With my size harvest and plants I would need to build a huge box, any idea what u would use to make the box? Coroplast? What about a huge black tote with the same idea?
