Drying In Tent

So for my harvest “next few days it starts”
I was planning on using a brand new grow tent with a filter to dry my harvest.
I know nothing of indoor growing etc and never used a carbon filter or tent.
I plan on putting the tent in my basement.
With a filter and closed tent how bad will the smell be? I ordered ona gel to put on my stair case to eliminate/mask smell going upstairs.
Do I need to vent the exhaust line out a window? Or just vent it outside tent into basement.?
Basement is new insulted and dry for most part will run dehumidifier on auto to keep humidity down.
It’s 4 inch 190cfm grow tent isn’t huge

The filter isn't going to steal any smell. You're smelling airborne particles that have escaped off of the buds. A filter is just collecting them, not causing them to be released from the bud. Losing smell only happens if it the room is too hot or too dry.

Your on the right track. One thing you need to consider is a humidifier. You’ll want the humidity at 60rh and the temp at 65 if you can get it there. I have two humidifiers in my 8 x 4 tent and a roll around ac for the shed my tent is in. Your carbon filter will take care of odors.

i have a dehumidifier that is for the basement itself. So was just gonna run that on continuing cycle, didn’t think of adding humidity..
My basement isn’t damp etc only thing I can do is just see how it goes.. thank you for your reply

I was considering using my basement as well. I don't have a dehumidifier yet for down there so i haven't made the plunge. I tested the RH at around 70%-80% which freaks me out, and especially for growing/ drying. I know its just from my french drain/ sump. The basement itself is dry/ full finished.

Hopefully you update this thread as you go. I'm following.
