Drying methods?

This is my first grow, so with that is approaching my first harvest and drying/curing experience. I’m lookiing for successful methods. I mean I do know it’s prettty straight forward hang them in a dark ventilated space and Keep control of temp and humidity. But I’m mostly looking for pointers and ways to dry my bud the right way to get some quality smoke. I’m anxious to do things the right way because it’s looking like the buds are going to turn out to be of really decent quality and I don’t want to ruin their potential by drying it improperly. So with all this being said, I have a 9x9 shed out back that I’m planning on drying in. How should I set it up? What should I do to ensure I dry my bud the best possible way. I know there’s many ways to do it so I’m all ears.

cut off fan leaf, leave all other leafs, dark cold room.
low humidity, you sound like you know how to do it just dont blow a fan directly onto the drying plant and but keep the air circulating.

Full environmental controls to be able to maintain temperatures 60 to 70 and Rh 45-55%. You’ll need to be able to bring fresh air in and a circulating fan but not directly on the buds. I hang dry whole and dry at 68-70 with 55% Rh for the first few days then drop the temp down to the mid to low 60s 64 with the Rh 55 for a total of 10 Or until the outside of the buds is crispy. Then i clip the buds off the stems and they go in double papers rolled closed or cardboard boxes closed 64 degrees at 50% Rh and they stay there till they are ready to smoke. Then they get trimmed and jarred.

Here’s the best advice I can think of:
Don’t cut the plant into pieces and trim the sugar leaf dry. Cut off any leaves that have stems attached leaving the sugar leaf intact. Cut the plant once at the base. Hang in the dark for at least a week at ambient room temp/humidity. Should take 7-10 days. Wait until the main stems audibly snap when bent over. If the stems bend over and crease it is not ready to jar up yet.
Once the bud is fully dry trim the sugar leaf and snip each individual bud into a mason jar or similar vessel. Don’t try to leave the larger cola buds whole: break them down into smaller size nuggets with a single tiny stem left on each one. Once in the jar don’t seal it up yet; place the lid in loosely or upside down overnight. In the morning open the jar and get a good whiff...if it smells dank and buds feel dry seal the jar. Burp the jars daily for a week or so. If it smells like hay that’s mold...means you fucked up and either jarred the bud or picked it too early. Good luck... drying and curing is trickier than it appears at first. This is when your patience will be tested.

My method is different than @Richard Drysift but the concept is the same the bud has to dry enough before it is jarred. The bud will feel crispy on the outside but will still be moist in the center. If you think you screwed up and went too far then leave more stem going into the jars.

Head over to Harvest and Curing and read. I wet trim, cut buds and leave on a tray for 24 hours then jar (I have 10% RH).

I use the method explained on buildasoil's site. I keep my temps 60 to 65f with the same numbers for my humidity. I dry for 14 days and what Ive learned is by doing this when I jar everything I really dont have to "burp" because my buds are already at a stable humidity 62-65 usually which is optimal for a good cure.
