Drying question, wood smell....

Hey,

I recently fabricated a nice drying rack with a screen on the bottom for after I harvest.

I made it out of some new boards and they still have that strong newly hewn wood smell.

Think that smell will stick in the buds??

Any advice greatly appreciated....Thx

the glues from the partical board you mean? I have new wood in my area and i didn't notice anything, but my harvest wasn't ON the wood. If it is on the wood I could see some possible residue highly unlikely but disformed nugs when they dry on that flat unvented surface. Laying them on screen is best IMO.

Great. Thanks.

I'm all fired up to harvest my first grow and I built this big frame with a screen at the bottom and a rack above to hang and dry. It still smells very strongly of sawed wood and I was worried it would transfer.

Thanks for the help...

beautiful...any pics? I hang mine for 3-5 days then paper bag for 3 days then jar for life, what are you going to do?

Was hopefully going to do the same.

No pix yet but made a nice wooden framed piece of screen then made a rack to go above it. I also found large plastic square tray at Home Depot which will hopefully collect any goodies that drop off the plants and filter through the large mesh screen.

Close to harvest now.....
