Drying Rack

Hello everyone, I was browsing this forum for ideas for a drying rack. Yes I know I could buy one online or at my local hydro shop. Problem is I have no local hydro shop and I don't have enough funds to purchase a drying rack. So this leads me to ask you all for ideas for a low cost drying system. I appreciate any and all constructive replies. Thanks in advance.

Hi...was wondering how that would work with a 20+ inch cola? do you cut them up to dry?

yeah a cardboard box with a small PC fan and some rope would be a nice cheap way to dry buds.

Yea I think I will use the cardboard box method. I can get a couple cereal boxes from walmart. Thankfully I have quite a few computer fans laying around and a shitload of yarn. So it would be cheap. Thanks for the replies. Damn I wish I had thought about that . Hey Kawasaki Ninja those cereal boxes can get up to 24 inches in height so I think that may help you out. Might be worth checking out.

That works great on a budget, but from my past experience I'd say use either hemp twine or fishing line. Sometimes using yarn in the box will leave you picking strings off your nugs before you jar them. If you are really on a budget you don't even need the fans. Just keep the box in a dry dark spot in a spare room or closet.

Just ran a sample dry with the cardboard box and PC fan and discovered that my bud dried too fast, because the box was too small!
So I'm suggesting that anyone thinking about going this route get as big a box as they possibly can.
I'll be heading to the U-haul store tomore to pick up a wardrobe box and starting again! This time hopefully it'll take about about week to dry before I jar it!

When the bud dries to fast you get that hay smell.

You can be creative and fabricate your own system with old window screens as long as the frames are sturdy ..Sweater drying racks are worthwhile too and they are around 20 bucks at most.. As mentioned above string will work if you keep everything on a stem .. You can also purchase an indoor rack for drying clothes .. I also have used coat hangers in an empty closet .. This worked out great
