Drying the buds

I have search upon Google only to find irrelevant answer to my question.

If I needed to dry say somewhere in the range of 5-7 plants ranging from 7-11 feet tall in Rubbermaid containers via a modified way of this https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/712-build-cheap-marijuana-bud-dryer.html does this affect the taste and/or harshness of the buds? I am going for a stealth dry opp, as in if a priest or god almighty himself stood next to the containers the air will be fresher than the room normally would have been.

Thank you

Drying is the first step, you would also have to cure it(jars) and yes uncured bud is harsh,I'm sure u had some bad seed that was harsh b4(brick weed)

Thanks for the reply, what I meant was if i just dried the buds in the Rubbermaid container as shown in the link will this affect the taste and/or harshness as opposed to hang drying them?

Thanks

If your buds dry even and slow in the system then as long as you cure after dry properly you'll be fine. But for 50 you can build one like this and hang your buds. It's only about 4 wide 2 deep and 6 high and can handle 1-2 pounds easily. Added 4" fan and carbon filter were about 100 bucks.

...and this fits 5-7 7-11 ft plants...? lmao this guys probably got 10 lbs to dry. Op come with the pics of the monsters. How do they look?

For drying outdoor monsters I would suggest a well ventilated shed. I dont like the bud dryers but thats just me. Personally, I think its a waste of time and money. Youll need like 10 bud dryers for all that ganja! And keeping the smell to zero on that imo is going to be near impossible. Well, unless your stuff never stank in the first place. But thats a lot of product to keep smell to zero. You will def need a carbon filter and the only thing that will get smell to zero is a carbon filter and a o-zone generator in the same duct run.

Sounds like you live w/ your parents or someone that does not approve if your that worried about the smell. Probably best to keep it away from those people. Sounds pretty risky.

Also post your ? in the outdoor growing section I bet someone over there will have a better suggestion for you.

Good luck

I thank you all for your input so far I have come across the holy grail (in my opinion) of places for this drying process and 8x8x8 (roughly) concrete box under the patio (house was built back in the day when they didn't fuck around) the only opening is a 2*1 iron plate, that I am going to remove and rebuild with a hepa filter on the top the lid then activated carbon on the inside, I am going to have two 48cfm fans attached one that blows air in the other that sucks air out, and I'll have a closet dehumidifier inside of the chamber just in case it is needed here is a pic of the chamber and the opening. I believe it will be enough to take the smell to near zero. That is charcoal on the ground I plan on bleaching the chamber then lining the entire chamber with plastic

Sweetness! Then fill that thing up with plants and your good to go all winter. Get lights and equipment with your monster harvest if you dont already own. Thats a fing ideal I mean perfect area to grow in. So jealous...

You might not need the dehumidifier. 60-70% and temps around 70 with good airflow will give you a good slow dry. If you dry to fast it will mess with the over all taste. 5 day dry is min for me. Cure will be a different story. Good luck.
