What's going on RIU, I'm pretty close to harvesting a G13, and I was reading where some people like to dry the WHOLE plant, then trim off the leaves, helps turn the plant in to sugar and others things! Thanks for any info!

You never asked a question.... :|

secondly, the plant won't turn into sugar.. or other things. ;)

I'm pretty sure this is accurate info, I'm not too sure.. too lazy right now to proof-read it before posting it.

Cut the entire ripe plant at the base and hang it upside down on a line to dry. Try to keep plants from touching each other to avoid uneven drying and mold. Keep the humidity between 50-60 percent. Keep the temperature at about 60-70 degrees F. (15-21 degrees C.). The room should be relatively dark - because light, especially direct sunlight, degrades THC. A circulation and ventilation fan may be necessary to control heat and humidity. You can also use a dehumidifier to control humidity or an air conditioner to lower ambient relative humidity and control room temperature.

like I said, I would help you further.. but I'm too lazy right now.

good luck tho.

peace.

I don't think that's true about the sugar thing. When u chop a plant most photosynthesize stops. I cut all the fan leaves off while the plant is still in the pot. If I feel ambitious I'll do the rest and sculpt some nice buds. The leaves are nice and turgid and ez to handle.

Thanks for the response, but canna, if I never asked a ?, how did u just answer it. Then??? Lol! I think I will cut it @ the base and dry the whole plant, trmming fan leaves 3 days in, and trim rest off 3 days later, for. A total of 6. Days. The G13 is a short litte girl, think she will work good using this! Now my Jackie (Jack Herer) she. Is almost 6 ft tall, thanks Dannyboy, i ve read some of ur post, I like ur info!

trmming the leaves after they dry and shrivel up is a biitch. and i like to make hash when the leaves are still moist that way they dont crumble into tiny pieces. what are you trying to achieve keeping them on for 3 days?

If you wait 3 days to trim it you will multiply your trimming time by at least double or triple, this is speaking from experience. it is a bitch to get in there and trim with all the leaves shriveled up and in the way. I did this once and never again!

You can trim your major fan leaves and then hag up the branches, leave the little tiny leaves sprouting from the bud on it. Once the branch is able to make a snapping sound, you can trim the smaller leaves. HTH :D

Not. Trying to achieve nothing specific, I. Have just heard of people doing both, want to read some feedback on y, or y not. From my understanding, it help the plant to dry more evenly. I'm sure. If ur trying to trim a whole garden, it could be a PIA, but I just have 2, think ill do it with the indica, G13, since it is short already, thanks for the feedback! And its not to help with sugar, but with the break down of water vapor and other gases
