Well, my issue here is, 2 of my plants r finally starting to show out of the ground. But, im so worried about them, the soil, on the very top is drying out, But like right underneath its nice and fertile and moisturized. should i drop a few drops of water on them or anything? And also the seedlings popping up dont look all that healthy to me. and the tip almost looks a bit wilted, right now i am just feeding them normal water. and i have them in my window in a cardboard display i made thats painted white. Feeding off sunlight, 2 bad todays cloudy >.<. i will be putting them outside eventually, So, can someone tell me what my problem is. If there is one. im not sure

let the soil dry out completely before watering. they have roots that go all the way to the bottom of the container.

First Thing is you need ample light no plant will be healthy if it's trying and struggling for light (food) Depending on your grow media you should keep your plants on a water cycle soil plants are more forgiving loose media will require more often waterings. Also once you have noticed sprouts or a couple inches of growth than you should (again depending on media and it's ability to hold nutrient) Start with a fertilizer I suggest Fox Farm Grow Big

They usually have ample light, Butt. im a window grower, and its cloudy today, it still gets sunlight though. Just not as much as it has been getting. And as for fertilizer, i have none,. But i read up that Boiled potatos and carrot water. cooled off. is really good because it has high amounts of NPK. is this true? and if so. is this the type of thing i may want to feed my plants. The is a ghetto job. lmao

Soundds Good on the Veggie food I don't know you could only research and try it. I am more contem on using the traditional methods. I would still try to add light even if you can just add some CFl's to you r set up constant ligt in the first mounth to 40 days is going to be key to establishing a good root system and a great start for there short life .Ru u virgin to htis or have you done this before?

yea its better to wait til theplant is all dry then soak it but no to bad if it puddles up quck then your soil isnt that good prolly
but u could mist ot anytime if u think it needs it thats what i do i water every othrday but i mist my plan all the time

True but your plants on a great batch should be growing fast enough to water daily. i am running 10 white widows on soil in 6" pots w/400w HPS and 400 cfm with internal fan on Fox Farm from day one on clone and I am watering daily in the first month and twice ever since huge growth daily. I flipped them on week 4 and have nugs comming out of my ears

Yes. This is definatley my first time. I Dont have any cfl's though, or any other lights for that matter. i do have 830 lumens 60 watt Duramax lightbulbs. There just like regular sized lights. As far as i know i cant use these. someone correct me if i am wrong. I Mean. would it be better then nothing? i could possibly mabye get some lights from a friend. i doubt it though.

YOU NEED LIGHTS FIND THEM STE4AL THEM SOMETHING YOU GET TO EAT EVER DAY RIGHT. yOUR GIRLS SHOULD TO. Be creative online you could get them hella cheap
There are simple basic rules to growing . Your are only going to get out what you put in in ever sense GET LIGHTS .. .... .... One quick info.. If your handy at all find in a local ad or yard/garage sale old Air conditioner units (window) If working you can usually find them for 20- 50 bucks. The fans in them are a squral cage it is very quiet and has some major cfm's I removed the an and built a difuser and intake out of foam board (like $.97 a board ) works great. Also if you get bigger the cooling aspect is cool too.
