I have a similar grow up also. 6 plants under a 600w MH bulb w/ quantum ballast in a dr120. I'm currently feeding at 450ppm at week 3

What are ur ppms at right now when u feed? And also, how long have u been vegging for?
Hey G37 - I brought these clones home from the nursery 3 weeks ago and planted them to Solo cups. I transplanted them on the 10th to the pots you see them in. My last feed was on the 12th, at about 600ppm. I'm trying some new nutes, so I have been going lighter than the manufacturer feeding schedule. I hit em with just water and CalMag at 180ppm lightly on the 14th to prepare and ready my media to give em a good feed on the 15th. But I underestimated the evaporation/transpiration rate and they were too wet to feed last night. So not only did I feed a little low on the12th, but I am going to be feeding a little late tonight on the 16th.

Any input is appreciated.

Oh aight. How about the ones that are going to be flipped 12/12?
Yeah - these are the ones I wish had been fed more... I like to go into flower close to 1000ppm. Ideally, I would have been able to fee them 800ppm on the 12th, and then my beginning flower recipe last night on the 15th. I will water with about 800 ppms tonight using the transition veg/flower feeding formulation... and starting at 6am tomorrow lights will go to 12/12.

photo(40).jpgphoto(41).jpgphoto(42).jpgNice work. Ya i'm hoping to be around 1000-1100ppm when i switch to 12/12 also. Here's some pics of my setup. I just finished setting up a scrog net.

Nice pics - great looking setup! I love that black ducting! I have some Botanicare Net-trellis I am going to use as well. I just went to 12/12.

Do you have a journal where you will be posting more pics?

Here are the last 8 girls in their new zone. This was shot yesterday after transplanting. These were the runts of the 2 dozen plants - but they all managed to pull through. I am going to veg them for another week or so before flowering this batch.

This was the runt of runts; the scrawniest clone in the bunch. It was not able to stand upright on its own and needed some support.

Rub-a-dub-dub, eight girls in a tub.

The orphaned 8; a long way from their home in a brand new zone.

I didn't start a grow journal. Kinda don't have time. But after searching through posts I haven't seen anyone using heavy-16 nutrients in their grow. So I guess it would be a good idea to share exp. As soon as I get one going I'll leave u a link.

how much do you expect to yield from those sexy little girls? estimation of course
I'd rather not even begin to count chickens before they hatch. In general, if you turn em as I have at 12 - 14", and plant at approximately 1 sq foot, you can conservatively estimate 1oz per plant with most strains under a 600 or 1000 watt light. I consider anything above that gravy--but gravy is what we are after here, so we shall see!

The ones in the Bathroom zone will get veg'd longer - to 18 - 24",and then grown out in 5 gallon pots. With an extra 2+ weeks of veg, the bigger pots, and the increased plant spacing (though no increase in light), I will look for closer to 2 oz per plant (it will likely be of lesser quality than the tents - due to half the light per sq foot)

Nice - I just checked your journal looks great (link on next page, folks). I did a run with Heavy16, and I am using the leftovers from that run in the Bathroom zone. Haha I like Heavy16. I added little more than, Sweet, and CalMag (though I have since learned that you don't need to add CalMag with Heavy16 as it is designed for RO water and accounts for CalMag in the mix). My sample bottles have no analysis on the label. What do the percentages of Calcium and Mag, add up to with A and B of Heavy16?

Here are a couple pics into flowering. These are taken at the start of Day 2 of flower. Just before lights on, I switched bulbs to Hortilux 600 HPS lamps in both tents. These are used lamps but they have some life on them. I just couldn't fork over for new bulbs.

Day 2 of flower, Day 1 of HPS light.

I'm hangin' in there. The girls are looking pretty good. The new growth is nice and healthy and the structure on most plants looks good, though there is some room for improvement. After testing my runoff, things are a little salty, but PH was within spec. I will leech em next feed with a mild solution.

Eight plants may be too many for one tent.

In the next day or so, I am going to take cuts from the lower branches and 'pop' em a bit to form the canopy. I am guessing that they are going to really stretch now, but I am not familiar with this strain.

I made the turn with most plants at 12 - 14 inches tall in one tent, and about 14 - 16" in the second tent.

I am on to the Soul Synthetics beginning flower schedule; using 5 of the 6 ingredients for the last feeding. We add the Flower, and the BigSwell. I like the look, smell, and consistency of the Big Swell; it just seems like my plants can use it! haha just joking, but it is a cool bright yellow color. I feel like I'm using synthetics (in a good way) with this product.

if you dont mind me prying, how old are the hps and what brand???? kinda like to see what a used bulb will pull :)
Hey Dick - how goes it?

They are Hortilux HPS 600W. One of these bulbs is really used - like 4 turns and some veg time too... the other bulb was given to me by a friend and I don't know the history. I am guessing it is 1 run old; judging by the look of the arc tube and the discoloration. Under the light meter, his bulb puts out more lumens. After the new MHS they both look dull! haha Under the meter they actually put out more lumens than the new MH lamps did (as expected). I wish I had a way to measure PAR light.

Hey Dick - glad to hear all is well on your end. Currently, I am switching the plants from tent to tent and alternating positions. Which leads to another interesting point that I have been meaning to comment on -- about these two tents. As close as they are, they actually have one difference that actually changes the temps 2 - 3 degrees from tent to tent... Can you guess why the temp diffs? I will save this one for post on its own. But anyway, the newer lamp will burn in the cooler tent; the slave tent. Though we can't really compare - as the test beds are different - we can see if an old bulb still works! haha Thanks. Talk soon.
