Duct Booster - Inline Fan

Can a duct booster fan be used as an inline fan?

If it will work how loud are they? and how well do they work?

How big is your grow space? Those fans don’t pull much air but they aren't loud. You can probably get it cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot. I bought one and it doesn’t do the job for me. I ended up buying a 400+cfm fan that works great but it cost a bit more. But I have a pretty big grow space.

Maybe for a short, straight distance.. My understanding is that they lack power for true ventilation. If you have a carbon filter they won't do jack

They work well for intake fans for small grow tents.

I would be using it with a carbon filter for a small cabinet set-up...

I will probably just stick with my exhaust fan I have now, only pushes 100cfm but works okay with the filter.
