Duct tape the right solution?

Hows it goin today. One of my outdoor ladies has a hole in the base of her stalk about a half foot up from where the soil is. I didn't really take a good look at what might be inside it but I suspect this hole is from unprofessional pruning . Anyways I don't have any plant tape laying around at the moment...could I use duct tape? The sticky residue isn't going to be problematic will it? I'll link a pic. Thanks and peace

Hey man, I wouldn't want duct tape round my limbs, I don't think any adhesive tape is ideal with all those chemicals. If that's all you have then wrap it around the wrong way so the adhesive is not touching the stalk but sticking to itself and then wrap another layer to tighten it up the right way, stuck to the first layer. If you catch my drift..

I would love to let it be but its got me tripping over mold/pests. I don't want anything but the best for my ladies and I feel like this gap could easily be infested

when i accidentally snap a stem or cola, i just put duck tape on. Leave it on for a week, then the cola heals up then i remove the tape.
That hole you have looks old, and might be permanent.

This plant (C99 female seeds) is very healthy. You thinks its fine as is to leave it?

If i were you I would use medical tape or athletic tape if you don't want to use duck tape. Anything can crawl in there...
Better safe then sorry right? That hole lets air in the main cola, and from my understanding air drys things up. Probably drying the water/nute highways in the main-cola potentially slowing down growth.
Plants don't know how to handle themselves once they are infected with mold or bugs.

I'm torn. It looks okay now, but I'd keep an eye out for mold there, not so much from an open wound aspect as it looks in decent shape, like it healed nicely.

My concern is it's a potential place moisture could get trapped in a heavy rain or mist and create problems down the road.

Also, if you want to get Freudian, it looks a little like a vagina.

I took these close-ups because I'm trying to get some insight as to know if these are starting to flower. I don't want my c99 going longer than 52 days flowering as thats whats advertised but since mother nature is in control I don't know when to start counting the days.. Any experienced grower out there that could tell me what stage this lady is at?

Heres a branch that got pulled down to the ground basically..I'm thinking the culprit was a deer crossing through and clipped the branch while going about its way OR heavy wind..most likely the first tho. Will support with a bamboo stick asap

This lady is Blue Blood from Medicann. I grew this last year and absolutely LOVED IT! Hope many of the traits are present in this one as they were in the last.
