I have morals too dammit!
If I can't walk without falling over then I don't drive. I've crashed at a buddy's house a few times cuz I couldn't drive. I just disagree with what the law thinks the legal driving limit should be. That's all.

but I have slept many nights in my car, on the beach (try waking up at 10 am and having a shitload of people at the beach around you setting umbrellas up, digging san castles and shit lol), friends house ect when I knew i was to drunk to drive

No worries, this thread just got me thinking which i rarely do:wall:.
Yah it was years ago, alcohol and driving really don't mix. I had built quite the tolerance (blew a .70), after the chase I did not drink for two years. Now when I drink I reach a point where I get kind of disgusted and stop; usually at two beers. I prefer weed anyway. I thought I was invincible back then, money, cars, women, man was I wrong! I'm glad it all went down like that though I needed a wake up call for sure.
Honestly I think any substance that makes you THINK you KNOW what you are doing is fucked up. Alcohol and Coke are good examples, you get in a car and can really THINK you KNOW, that is scary!
Weed though you try to drive and you are scared as shit the only thing you KNOW is that you should not be driving.
I'm glad to hear you guys are smarter than I was. :peace:

There is no way that you could be conscious at .70

True...There's no way you'd be alive at .70...Did u mean .07. If so, that ain't shit.
Yah thats what they said:-( Just out of curiosity I got out he hospital report to look at it, the actual level was .47. The legal limit is .08 maybe I got them mixed up. They did keep saying that is must have been higher because i was sitting up in bed while they were telling me all this. I did pass out in the ambulance on the way though and i don't remember parts of the chase it was a partial blackout.

I got a marijuana dui in Colorado and the judge ordered me to take alcohol classes even after I argued that it was for pot. It was kind of embarassing telling my story in class and when I was the only pothead in there. I guess it's a classic case of our justice system at its best.
Same here $753 for that class. They didnt mention marijuana once. I have a medical prescription so I was never tested.

I've gotten 3 of them, but my last 1 was 25 yrs ago. My 1st DUI was in 1973 & the punishment was a $50 fine & 4 points on my license. That was before all the mothers got MADD!!
I no longer drink [been sober for 8+ yrs now & been cig-free for 9 months] & just saw my brother-in-law get 15 months in prison for his 3rd DUI. He's 60 yrs old too. Prison is really going to be a drag for him.
I think drinking & driving is totally wrong, but the authorities seemed to have gone in the complete opposite direction. There are some people who handle their booze better than others. The 'point system' to determine how much you've been drinking is biased.
Take a 60 yr old who's been drinking for 40 yrs. Now take a 23 yr old who's been drinking for less than 2 yrs. Each 1 blows a .12. Now the older, more experienced drinker will be less likely to turn to his pals & say, "Watch me take this corner at 90!!" than the inexperienced drinker.
The punishment should be based on each 1's performance of the roadside tests & not as much as what the numbers say in the breathalyzer.

marijuana dui's fuckin suck. i got yanked in my highskool parking lot by the gestapo patrol, had my pipe and a dub in my wallet which i managed to open and flatten and hold up with the elastic of my basketball team shorts under my jeans, this fucko searched me like twice, didnt find it, searched me twice more, and then arrested me for duiCannabis hah. i could just see how goddamn mad that piggo was that he couldn't find any weed. ripped my car apart flipped my $2000 subs upside down and left them like that. didnt find shit. they took me to the police station, got a warrant at 3 am to take my blood n urine. the emt i knew and he had this fucked look on his face like damn yo.. and then i had to piss in front of the original jerkoff who ripped my car apart and locked me up, he had searched me AGAIN at the station n i managed to piss in front of him without my shit falling out SOMEHOW and after 4 hours of the bastages asking me if i was high over and over and me saying no no no (lie) lol they let me leave the station. man. I got to my house pulled my wallet out and smokd that chronic to the face to calm the rage.. one of the best bowls ever hah. i was 16 yo when they did that, got a lawyer and got my case dismissed but it cost me 3 G's. moral of the story, FUCK JAKE
