Dumb light question?

I have that but am to tech stupid to calibrate..lol. I mean my mind just goes blank. Does that thing work proper right away or does it NEED calibration?
Just watch your plant leaves to tell you how much light they want and note the measurement for your reference.

My plant leaves will start to curl up on the edges if I go over 350 in the app.

The app should work better on a good phone with a good front facing camera.

Yep, that's exactly what I do. I just watch for heat stress type issues. When I first started seed I think I got a little to aggressive with the lamps but have adjusted as I went along.
I'll give that meter a try. Just downloaded it again.

I'll have to check some charts to see exactly where I need to be in each cycle and see what I come up with. Thanks for the info Blue.

This chart is in the Info section of the app. Tap on the 'I' upper left.

[edit]

Apologies - I misread the fact that it's a 14 day old plant. I get my plants to the light saturation point as soon as possible but, at 14 days, my plants have been in the 400-450µmol range, running 24/0 with DLI's in the mid-20's.

With 400 PPFD running 24/0 I get 34.56 DLI. What am I missing?

Nothing. I just did the math and you're absolutely correct. Hats off to you for spotting this and I do appreciate you raising the issue.

I checked the Excel document that has my lighting values and the DLI numbers do not have a formula. The only thing in the cell is the literal value.
Below is a screenshot.

335*24*0.036≠22

and 360 has different DLI's on subsequent days. That's "creative".

All the entries in both "DLI" and "Infilled" are literals.

That's not the case in the template that I'm using now but how did I muck that up? Ignorance is no excuse seeing that I started using Excel in 1987.
