Hey guys lost my old password so had to start a new account

but here are my durbans at 28 days after the pistils appeared

let me know if I am going along schedule as this is my first grow.

These are the dutch passion strain and they are said to be an 8 or 9 week strain. So i hope I'm looking on track

I can post how I built the system and my weekly regimens if anyone is interested

nutes are canna aqua flores, boost, cannazym,pk

Lighting is 400w hps

yea I got a 400w hps that hangs vertically in a cool tube with one side of it reflected. Once I get this system dialed in I will add another side and take the reflector off then the light will have two sides of lighting capability. Eventually looking at 24 -36 plants on one 400w hps.

Thanks for the replies

Sound like 4 weeks is about right?

so I'd like to see the design schematic please ;) - materials cost etc if you can grow that much green in that little of space you gotta share the recipe

this is one of my previous post I want to modify it by mirroring the flower wall to the other side and vegging rooted clones in the system.

All the parts to build the racks and resi's, mini ebb and flow, pots, watering system ran $135

other parts are timers, lights, pumps cooltube, fans carbon scrubber, (the usual stuff) you already know the $

Once I decided to go vertical it was time to design around the room. My space is two sections that are 34" deep 19" wide and 8 ft tall. Both spaces are in the same closet but split in two part by a bookcase(lame).
Anyways.....

I made a fastening point out of 2x4 to the wall and the angled two framing bracket at at 45 deg. angle 5 inches apart
brackets.JPG

Then just mirrored that on the other side of the all and connect the framing brackets with 2x4

angeled wood.JPG

Then made another shelf leaving 30" above the first (remember these will be growing out and up)

then did one more shelf

Next tackled the watering system. I used 1/2 inch garden plumbing with 1/4 flexible hose that had tapin hose fittings (you may need silicone, I did) . Finally capped the end of the tubes with some basic parts.

Next was the drainage. Went with 4 inch PVC house guttering. In which I cut it to the same length as my shelf's and capped it with proprietary end caps.
At the drainage end of both gutters installed a 1" bulk head. Then I hung them with some zip straps angled towards the drain hole. With a 1" screw in hose fitting I attached my drains, in which I drained my top gutter into the bottom one then into the reservoir.

res 1.JPG

If you can see i put bungees on the res to stiffen the sides.

On the other side is where i will veg and clone. Basically built a shelf, found a proper size storage container, fitted that with an eb and flow kit. Drained that into a separate res. Then on the same shelf lifted my mondi dome up closer to the light with a cinder block.

Obviously needed to separate the two light wise so I used black and white poly to close in the veg room. I can get in there easy with the installed tarp zipper.
Only prob was light leaked through the zipper so I had to make a cover for it with Velcro and more poly.

Mediums will be oasis@hydroton in 3.75" netpots then move 2 of the net pots into 10" sq. buckets drilled to drain into the gutters. So i can have three rows of 3 10" buckets with two plants in each giving me 18 total plant on the wall

Lighting will be 400w hps With 6" can fan, carbon for the smell. and behind the tarp gonna use a 24" 4 bulb T5 HO Sylver Star

Here is a pic for an idea of the scale and layout.

wow very impressive.

as far as the buds being of schedule, i'd say so. durban comes from an african landrace strain that is a sativa. i am not sure what dutch passion crossed it with to shorten flowering time to 8-9weeks but i wouldnt be suprised to see it go 10 or more if you are unlucky. overall though your plants are very healthy looking and budding nicely. i think you got nothing to worry about.

did you designt this system yourself? or did you see this somewhere? i know that there are vertical systems out there, but a vertical closet grow is very cool.

Yeah, i took alot of my ideas from Flojo and Heath here on RIU, then just adapted it to my needs. pretty happy with it so far, once i get these ladies out gonna change a couple things but I'll be reall happy cause gonna I'm end up with 16-18 plants in a 19" X33" foot print for flowering and if i decice to keep the veg side the I will run it perpetual, and change my strain to a indica and try to get it harvested evey six weeks.

Thanks for all the comments guys,

Oh and this system is super friendly for lst I have been tying the shit out of them and gettin mad colas per plant. running a pure sativa at like 18" tall and the colas go all the way down to the node where it has been tied down.
