Dutch buckets + aero?

Hanging in the air inside those little containers?
I found larger buckets online, 44 litres. If I build this system I'll probably use something like that. GHE Hydroponics sells a system with larger than 11 litre, 16 litre I think. But after reading about other growers experience on buckets I think I would prefer a pipe system like Aeroflo or stinkbuds system.

Yeah copper will stop them 'growing' down the pipes (apparently) but the problem is the roots 'flowing' down the pipes with the water. 2 weeks into flower cycle I have to lift my buckets up & pull the roots back out. If I get the timing wrong I get flooded

I have not seen anything that's worked 100%. I've seen grows that used like a fabric and the roots still eventually grew through that.
One of the (small) advantages with Ebb&Flow is that the water gets in the system through the same pipe as it gets out.
The moment the pump stops, the water drains through the same pipe, via your pump, back in the res.
When the pump starts again, the water pressure will (hopefully) push out any roots.

Theoretically...
