Do you think that lowering nighttime temps, toward the end of flowering, would help?

I also heard that ice cubes, on top of the soil, can help. Has anyone ever heard of this?

mmm thats something i want to know too.. i dont have my seeds yet.. but they traveling atm!! so i want to know how to make it more colorfull.. i saw some guy feeding/watering his plants with ACTUAL blueberrys... he also said that sugar from berrys help the plant... anyone knows about this "theory"

I haven't heard of anyone giving blueberry juice to plants...but I'd be willing to try it with one. I know my plants love molasses so why not blueberry juice, from fresh squeezed berries? I gotta try it!

I'm pretty sure that this is the best way to force purpling. My pineapple chunk plant went purple in places due to low night temps and iv heard nothing of it going purple. check this purple i got from mid 40 nights

Oh but also, my night temps are just perminantly cold, if you were to pick a tim e to induce cold night temps manually I would start around week 4-5 of 12/12 as this is when I'[ve seen purpling start in the past.

Noooes that cant be right surely, plants drink water and nutes exclusivley. fruit juice can be really acidic aswell.
I recon genetics and night temps are the main cause of purple. Some nutrient defs will cause colour change.I couldnt tell you though if it is possible to load up your plant with some kind of synthetic taste, via the roots sucking it up. But at the end of flowering you will need to flush everything out of the soil again anyways.

Well, anthocyanin is the chemical responsible for turning any fruit or veggie,....or herb..lol.. shades of red, blue and purple right? Blueberries are rich in anthocyanin....so if you took some fresh, organic, blueberries...ground them up..strained them and made a ph'd blueberry tea...wouldn't this boost the plant with anthocyanin...possibly helping it to turn a lovely purple? Sounds good, in theory...right? I think the only way to know, for sure, is to try it out.

When i used to work in a zoo many years ago, we used to have these pellets to feed the pigeons. They were multi-coloured pellets that would turn the pigeon's feathers different colours. A flock of multi-coloured pigeons is a cool thing to see. Random story, but soil pellets would be great

Lol...blueberry soil pellets...or orange...lemon lime?...maybe we should try some of these pigeon pellets 
I gotta try the blueberry tea...it will bug me for all of time, if I don't. I'd like to try it on one of the BB plants and then maybe on one of the unknown bagseed plants...give me a few months for R&D and I'll get back to ya!

Yeah it was the celery experiment. lol I remember that...wonder if that'd work? Prolly make it smoke like crud...but I should try that one too, for shits n gigs..maybe just cut one branch off and stick it in a glass of water and some food coloring....but then that would probably be getting dangerously close to plant abuse!...I mean they do it to flowers...but then again you don't smoke those kind. lol

I don't want to give up on Dutch Passion quite yet. I think, next time, I'll try some of their regs instead. Also we have yet to see the outcome of this grow....maybe I'll get different results. I have noticed that people seem to have better success, with their DP BB plants, when grown outside...not sure if this is fact...just my observations so far, from reading others threads.

btw i just noticed, a few bits of purple on my DP BBs, appearing around day 45 flower. If it amounts to anything il post a pic. I dont remember ever getting DPBB to go purps in the past, but it was 45deg lastnight and is set to be the same for the next few.

I always like to see pics...I'll never complain about those. I'm starting to wonder if growing outside suits this strain better. I put one plant into flower, the other 2 are still in veg....I'm still waiting for my gianormous Sweet Black Angel plant to finish...it's sucking up all the space in the flower closet!!! 
I made sure to take clones from all the girls, in case I get that phenomenal pheno.
I'll post a few pics in a bit, when the lights come on.

Here's a few updated pics. The 1st pic is of BB #2 which has been in flower 1 week now. Don't let the lime green throw you off, it's just my crappy camera...much greener in person. The other 2 pics are BB #1 & #3, still in veg, going on 6 weeks now...they are both still being LST'd. I'd like to get them both into flower in the next week or so. notice the different phenos?

Lookin good man, gona be some nice tops on them when they are done. Good thing you've kept them low as they do stretch a fair bit. Not sure I've ever had one with such wide leaves as yours in the last pic. Hope one's a keeper!
