Day 40

The ship holds steady... the low leafs are a bit droopey but new leaf growth and root growth is good, well, not good but roots nice and white, considering I ruthlessly scissored off any roots that looked diseased.

I was thinking about topping the plants soon, but I thing I should give them another week before I give them that level of stress.

Day 47

Hopefully they've turned a corner, roots getting really fat and good veg growth... I've topped them but it doesnt really seemed to have slowed them down.

I've been hitting them pretty hard with the peroxide though, 80ml every 5 days.

Day 51

ok so the plants look good, topped and now SCROG/LST'ing. Roots look really good too, but im still getting some scum in my rez creeping back.
I'm using a regualr dose of peroxide/siver ion solution which I guess is keeping the rot away from the roots. as all round growth is really fast at the moment.

Current plan is no drastic changes at the moment, and a second full rez drain and clean when I switch to bloom nutes.

ANy advice from anyone appreciated!

Day 59

Ye Gods.. roots are going mental and veg growth is very good.. I'm gonna gave to flip to 12/12 soon or I won't have the space.
That's kind of annoying as I don't wanna trimm off the low stuff, but it has to be done :-(

Day 68

I switched the lights to 12/12 about 5 days ago, but I thought I'd let them drink up the veg ferts and run the resevoir low.

now refilled the rez with bloom ferts (failrly mild at EC 0.9 and PH of about 6.5) back up to about 90 litres, it was probably down to about 40 litres, LED light still on 40% but I might bump it up in a day or so as see how we go.

They look real good, just seem abit small for 2 month old plants.. its not a big deal though..

Thanks for the advice, it's my first time with DWC, so it's been a bit of trial and error... Iv'e topped them as I have limited grow height, so I dont wanna be in a world of pain in flower:)

I also had a root rot issue mid veg that would have set them back a bit.

I'm gonna do a bit of defoliation too, as some of the older leafs are looking a bit skanky.

I also made a calculated mistake of growing 2 strains in the same DWC.. just to keep it interesting, the plant on the left is the C-vibe (high THC), and the two fat girls on the right are high CBD skunk/haze hybirids.

The really strange thing is the roots seem to link up with each other, almost acting like a fungi or mycelium. It's quite fascinating to watch.

hydroponics, so cool. you sure came a long way from that scrawny,
leggy seedling to now, don't you agree? Wish i had the guts to grow. :(
I always wanted to. But wow, the legal probs with it, phew, i'm chicken.

Yup... I wasn't prepared for how fast and vigarous they grow in DWC, comming from soil and these got off to a rocky start, as I'm a noob at hydro/DWC, but once I got things dialled in a bit better they just go crazy.

Just to add, I know thw water level is too low in that last pics, I've topped it up an re-balance the nutes/EC/PH, the water isnt the problem it's the insane amount of growth I'm struggling with

Half way through week 4 of 12/12

Day 99, just about to enter week 6 of flower

Things are looking good aside from my poor planning and running out of space.
Need to do more defoliation to help humidity.
Even the baby buds under the canopy are fattening and getting sugary.
They are eating and drinking a lot.

On the plus side, I think they have stopped stretching at just the right time as theres literally no more vertical space.

Day 103 I think, about just into week 6 of 12/12

They have stopped stretching, thank god!

Drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of nutes, currently EC 1.9 an PH 5.8, so gonna give them more food tomorrow to bring EC up a couple of decimal points and bring the PH down a couple of decimal points.
